Using Herbal Shisha As A Substitute

Recommended Posts

Has anybody had any success with using herbal shisha (Saalam) as a substitute for tobacco based shisha? I'm looking to cut down on hookah smoking in general, and since tobacco is known for leaving a lot of tar in your lungs I might want to try something else for a while.

I've got some Saalam. It gets pretty good reviews for herbal. I haven't tried any yet (haven't really had the time to have a hookah session), but I'm hoping I could enjoy this brand. I've got 4 flavours:

Red cherry
Key Lime pie
Watermelon
Chai

All of these flavours have had some good reviews, so I'll give it a go. Hopefully this is the brand that'll help me with my plan.

hookah shisha generally doesnt produce any tar because the tobacco doesnt exceed 800F unless you are scorching the bowl. I tried Saalaam the first time the other day and it was OK. The flavor wasnt very strong, mostly an after taste, but the clouds were pretty good. Give a 50g a try to see if you like it

I've tried Salaam Tiramisu to try and get the girlfriend to start smoking (hates tobacco, but was willing to try herbal). It was good, the flavor was strong, thick smoke. Only thing I noticed, and it might just be this brand/flavor, but it stunk up the house a lot longer than any other hookah I've smoked. Instead of like 3 hours of smell for AF, it lasted like 3 days.

^true, i liked the salaam i had but the chai smell definately lingered longer than usual, but that stuff could take a BEATING on heat and produce really good clouds, i might try some some time.

This is what I thought, but for some reason I've been coughing and spitting out mucus for a while, and I don't burn my bowls. I had bronchitis for a week, and I stopped smoking hookah until I was feeling better. I think I might not have recovered all the way. Maybe another hookah hiatus is in order. I'll take a time out and excersize some more.

I'll have to look for Evolution tea shisha. Where could I buy some? I've tried Saalam Red cherry, and Spiced Chai and I loved it. It'll be a while since I'm two days into my hookah hiatus.

I've tried a few herbal 'tobacco' brands, but i just don't like herbal shisha.. some flavours from hydro are 'oke' for a herbal shisha, but still not even close to real tobacco. Not even comparable. so i would say stay away from herbal shisha haha.

Yeah you'll cough up crap for a week or so after you feel 100% better, taking a little break would prob be best, then again, maybe smoking will clear your lungs out even quicker

You gotta try that Tea Shisha. [b]Hydro is made of sugar cane and smoking that shit is not good for you. Dont believe me? research!

I've wondered about that, but then again, neither is tobacco. I found out that Texashoohah.com sells it. I also found it on Amazon.com, and e-bay. I will get some of this shisha in the future. Hopefully it lives up to the hype. Do you know of any really good flavours from this brand?

[font="Century Gothic"] i buy evolution straight up from hookahhookah.com. Thats the brand its from. I have lemonade, Peach, Mango, Strawberry....and some other ones.
Check it out! Its pretty tasty, and no tobacco. I like it better than the hookahhookah tobacco for some reason. Its just more tasty and gives you a different kind of buzz!

You know smoking tobacco is bad for you too right? As far as HH goes I would hope their tea shisha is better than their tobacco otherwised itd have nothing going for it. Out of curiosity what do they use as a base?

personally i would say that SOEX is the best herbal shisha as it is really the only tobacco i smoke from my shisha. But it depends on what flavour you pick. From what i have tried from SOEX the best flavours i have smoked are orange, peach, grape and lemon and lime.

hope that helps

i tried like 10 different flavors of SOEX, didnt really like a single one. SMoke was good but flavor was sub-par for my standards and thats why i havent smoke herbal since then. PPl say hydro or hydra which ever it is, can be hit and miss. But everybody likes their own flavors. So like they say just buy some 50g's and test em out.

I have always disliked Herbal Flavors. Its just my opinion they just don't have that feel in them.
Lower your smoking sessions than switching to herbal flavors

Which is a better brand in herbal shisha?

Hydro or Soex ?

Which flavor is the strongest? among them all?

I have heard that they are all pretty mild.

riddle me this. Why would you go through the trouble of smoking herbal unless your trying to quit nicotine? Its still smoking and just as bad for you. Instead of chasing the perfect harmless smoke (and unicorns while your at it) just accept what your doing is bad for you and if you want to continue do it in moderation. Now where did I get this soapbox?

True, but I would like to have some herbal around just so my parents wouldn't bitch quite so much about me smoking and for friends who wanna try hookah but don't want to smoke tobacco.
