mxtaylor
A buddy of mine uses this all the time. Its a new-ish product from Camel. Its supposed to be no-spit chewing/dip. I still spit like crazy with it though. It seems like they only have two flavors- Frost (mint) and Mellow (some say caramel, some say peach) Anyone else try it? Like it? I haven't decided yet. r1v3th3ad
about three years ago I used to use it when it first came out... I was a dishwasher at eat n park...they were dicks about smoke breaks so I got the mint version and used it as I pleased
KeepItSimple
I've used this, but I prefered regular dip when I was dipping back in the day. This is totally marketed for kids though, think about it, kids can sit in class in High School and dip without spitting. But since when haven't the tobacco companies marketed kids. TweakX4
i suppose you can spit with it and it wouldn't be a problem, but it's made so you can swallow it... (sexual? nooo )

Amn_sinclair
i tried this last year while i was home on leave. for me i felt it was kind of a waste of money.... i had to use 3 pouches to get anywhere near my nicotine fix they were so small, this was when i was a regular dipper though so maybe that made the difference. i ended up just gettin skoal bandit pouches which i can swallow just fine without any side effects. but neither camal snus or skoal bandits are available on base here so i have to stick to regular pouches when i buy my one can per month now lol
mjdx88
A buddy of mine introduced me to snus about year ago as "mint leaves with nicotine" As stated above...you need 2-3 to get a buzz, this is when I couldnt smoke hookah at school and wasnt dipping at the time, so naturally I had a low tolerance. If you can find the promo tins which are ~ $1.30 depending on taxes its worth it. But if your paying the standard 3 bucks or so forget it. Just pick up some skoal mint pouches . I have since moved to long cut and now quit chew. I did end up spitting the snus tho, it never felt right if I didnt. As far as mellow goes, its pretty much just plain tobacco flavored...maybe even close to a light beach nut style (raisin/molasses) Edited April 6, 2010 by mjdx88

Karot
As a fairly regular snus user, CAMEL SNUS IS NOT GOOD. If you want real swedish snus, order some from getsnus.com. They even give you a free tin on your first order, I think you can actually just get a free tin and pay for shipping. Not sure if links are allowed but I don't work for them so whatever. Snus produced in Sweden has strict government rules on how its produced and what can go in it. Camel doesn't state what they put in their "snus" or how it's made. It's actually a lot safer than dipping, and tastier in my opinion. There have been studies that basically show no link between oral cancer and snus usage. In Sweden they have the highest rate of people using oral tobacco, snus, and yet the lowest rate of oral cancers. While this could be attributed to other factors, such as general overall health, snus is produced differently than dip/snuff. Overall I would definitely recommend snus to anyone, just not camel or marlboro. If you do decide to try it, just dont smell them before putting it in your mouth. Snus definitely doesn't taste like it smells though.
Big Boss
I use to buy the Camel Snus every now and then. I'm a pretty heavy smoker so I never really noticed a buzz. It worked well for a quick fix when I was really craving, though.
Hojo
Most of the reason why I have been (marginally) active on the forum lately is because I am trying to quit cigarettes for good. It's only been 6 days, but it's already saved me like $15, which is awesome. Anyway, I was having a major nicotine fit today and I remembered reading this thread last night, so I decided to pick up a promotional tin of Camel Snus Frost after class to take to work. Firstly, this shit is delicious. It tastes like wintergreen and leaves a nice little tingle in my lip. As far as nicotine goes, as someone who used to smoke Camel Filters and smokes unwashed shisha (Nakhla and Tangiers), the Snus is VERY weak. I noticed a bit of nicotine, but it was only enough to piss me off and make me want more. It's like if you showed Tiger Woods a nipple and nothing else. It did a little bit to curb my fiending for a cigarette, but only by a little bit. So, in conclusion, Camel Snus Frost: fucking delicious, but it pretty much boils down to being a wintergreen breath mint that is super expensive and you have to be 18 to buy. Stick a Certs in your upper lip and save your money.
