Ok so I finally finally FINALLY found a local smoke shop that sells shisha and hookah. YESSSSSSS!!! And they weren't selling HH. EVEN MORE YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! They sell layalina and hydro. Both of which have good reviews, so that's probably where I'll be doing a lot of shisha shopping.

Anyways, I went there looking for coals because i got my shisha shipment in today. And what good is shisha without coals I ask you?

So the type I got are called Al-Hind and they are quicklight. And DO NOT even bother posting replies bitching about quicklight. Yes, I know, but it's what I need so deal.

So can anyone tell me of the brand Al-Hind? It's not in the quicklite reviews section, I checked before posting this. And I did a search for Al hind and found two posts stating they bought them, but not really reviews per se. It's a big green package, with red lettering. It was cheap, 1.67 for a pack of 10. And they are pretty big coals, compared to the last ones I bought.

So are they good?

not trying to flame, but if they were 'good' or anywhere something worth mentioning, most people would know about them, or at least have heard about them. al-hind means the indian (man) in arabic. not really sure what that has to do with a ql coal though...

pretty much everyone here is going to tell you either go with 3k OR (most people will tell you) go with john's CH coals.

if you're pressed for cash but already have that coil burner i would go for some ALL NATURAL LUMP mesquite coals (NOT THE BIRQUETTES). at a local grocery store i can get like a 10 pound bag for about 6 Bucks. pain in the ass, but a hell of a deal. great if you're smoking outdoors as well.

I've never heard of them myself, but if they suit your hookah session just fine, then by all means, keep using them. I've gone through my fair share of unknown coals, and shisha brands when I first started hookah, but eventually you will find something you like. That's the beauty of hookah. There is so many brands of hookah products out there to discover.

I hope they work for you.
