Mya Qt Vs Petite

Hey guys,

I am new to this forum, so I am posting for 2 reasons. 1 because the rules say if i don't post within 24 hours my account will be deleated, so i'm taking care of that right now. my other reason is beacuse i am not sure which hookah to get the QT or Petite. the petite is half the price of the QT but i hear a lot of good things about the QT...so i'm not sure which one to get. And also, if i want to use a bigger hose for either of these hookahs, do i need to get a different hose adapter? And finally, do any of you guys have pictures of either of these hookahs, i want to see what the colors look like.

Both are the same basically, just size. They smoke the same.
However, I think you should go for the QT. Thats the hookah I own now and it's amazing.

You don't have to get a different hose adaptor if you get a nammor or narbish. Anything else, I'm not sure.

You can get Qt's online for 35-40 dollars including the cage, you just have shop around for the best price. Don't forget to use discount codes that are posted in the vendor 's section of the forum which will save you 5-10 dollars.

I would say QT.

Because it's a bit bigger and it can't be pulled around when it has water and you don't have to worry about water in your hose.

i saw a post earlier about the petite and i believe that the petite comes with a smaller hose port so you'll have to buy a standard hose adapter. if you're stuck in the false dichotomy of petite v qt (for whatever reason - portability et al) i would go for the qt over the petite for the reasons stuie stated above.

I have both a QT and a Petite, and they smoke pretty much the same. If price is an issue, the Petite is very solid. If it's not, I would go for the QT, since there are just a few minor annoyances I associate with the petite: first, because the Petite holds so little water, the water warms up pretty quickly, so if you're someone who likes "cool" smoke and puts ice in the vase, it can be a little annoying. Second, and much less of an issue: because it's so small, you have to put in exactly the right amount of water--just a little bit too much and it gets in the hose, just a little bit too little and the stem doesn't go deep enough.

I actually do smoke out of my Petite much more often because it's easier to clean, quieter, and it fits nicely on my desk. But like I said, when it comes to smoke they're pretty much the same.

I've got a petite and couldnt disagree more on your water level theory. Ive never had problems with too much, or too little water. And Im never particularly careful when filling the vase up

However I do agree that they smoke the same, so its all personal preference.

I would say the QT. Obviously as said, they both smoke about the same.
When I smoked out of the petite, I only had the water-in-the-hose problem once. But I owuld consider it a legitiment con.

I also think the QT is just a great starter hookah, and you know it's going to go well. Can't go wrong with what you know will work. I'm a slave for playing it safe. Haha.

I'd say the petite though I've never smoked out of a QT I own a petite and I love mine it's so simple and easy to clean which from what I've seen from mya that's basically all their hookahs ....but if you want something cheap that won't break the bank in a sudden buy I would say the Petite though From what I've seen and read you can't go wrong with the QT so I'd say if you can't decide flip a coin Head's Petite Tails QT

Though I've never had a water in the hose problem until I actually knocked over my petite .....but the hose was old anyway's and I can use the wood to make a new hose ... so it's not really a loss

QT FTW!

When the Petites first came out, I was excited to get them at the lounge until I smoked out of one. I agree with Prozac here. Petite smoke is noticably warmer, and it's not as easy to manage as, say, a QT as far as water levels go. I also hate the tiny hose adapter. To use a bigger hose, you have to get a bigger adapter which makes the tray sit at a slant. I also find it way to small. See, if you look at the leila, it's made to fit into a cupholder, hence the size. But a Petite is just small for no good reason. It doesn't fit in a cup holder. All it does is slide off the bar and break if you pull the hose a little bit. [img]http://www.hookahforum.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dash2.gif[/img]

Yeah the water thing is an issue and I broke my base because it was too small and got pulled off the table. It smokes great though I'm planning on buying a QT base and extending the downstem to lower the water level. I'd go with the QT, the petite is nice and all but the QT is more logical.

The purple QT does look a little brown. The sky blue ones sell the best for us.

Pro of Petite over QT: The smooth heart... makes for easier cleaning.

Con of Petite compared to QT: The tiny hose adapter... will have to be replaced with a bigger one to fit other hoses.

I have the blue which is dark and rich. The pink I have seen are VERY pink but not red.Its a nice pink.

The pink is a very pale pink. I actually think it's a nice color. Hope that helps.
