Tangiers Losing All It'S Flavor?

Recommended Posts

Been a while since I have posted here but got a batch of Blue Gumball and the first 100grams or so smoked and tasted fine. The last bit of it though smoked fine but had absolutely no flavor. The smoke literally tasted like nothing. I've never had this happen before and have almost souly smoked tangiers for about a year. Anyone had this happen or know why it did? Sucks to have half the batch go to waste.

what are you storing it in?

If it's plastic what's the Number on it?

Is it air tight?

Nothing is a new one on me. But my suggestion is throw it in the freezer over night. Then let it sit out for 4 hours in the air then seal it for another 20 hours. Should be good to go then.

Ive had problems with an old container of Mimon. I think the more you keep the lid off the container, the more it looses its flavor. I remember reading something Eric posted about prolonged air exposure could lead to loss of flavor.

I kept it in a Tupperware container so I don't think that was it. I guess possibly acclimation with the changing of weather. Guess I will try acclimating it some more and see if that fixes the problem. It does still smell like blue gum ball.
