SoHaveIShownHowAbstract
I searched all of the old threads first and didn't find anything on this; I smoked a bowl last night with my new Egyptian bowl and it was leaking out of the base (I put the grommet on the stem because it leaked even worse when in the bowl and then placed on the stem). I tried re-adjusting the grommet several times and it still didn't help. I realize this may be a structural integrity problem with the bowl itself but is there anything I can put around the grommet or in the bowl to make it more air-tight? PSU Smoker
wet paper towel will make an air tight seal
ryno
Wet paper towel works great. If its not much of a leak, electrical tape can shim up the gasket a little to make it seal.

ih303
What kind of grommet do you have? I've seen some Egyptian Bowls that are too big to be sealed by a normal size grommet. You should find one of those fat, soft, white grommets. Those are amazing with Egyptian Bowls. Pardon me if I don't buy into the whole wet paper towel thing. I'm sure it works, I just don't like it.
