Fake Mya'S

Ok, I did a search and came up empty handed. Maybe im inept at using the search engine, but w/e. Im just gonna ask anyway.

Fake Mya's. I heard something about the fake QT's and found the thread for that. But I wanted to know if anyone has heard of any other Mya's being fakes.

I'm asking because I found a brand new Obelisk at a local smoke shop, for only 100 bucks. It doesn't have the Mya hose that has Mya written all over it, but the bowl looked like a Mya, and the hose was the same as the Mya hoses that I have seen just without that Mya stamp all over. It looks like one, but ive only seen picture on the Hookah-Shisha.com website. The price tag said Mya on it, so they know what they have, and it wasn't on sale. So yea, does it sound legit, or is it too good to be true?

I've heard some of the Mya's have Mya stamped on the heart and a few other places. Any chance you can get some pics of it?

Yea, i'm gonna go there again soon, since i started this thread i know ppl are gonna ask for pictures, i should of waited to start this till I had pics

  It should say MYA on the heart between the hose port and purge valve, like Ryno said.

it should also say it on the tray. the hose sounds like an old mya hose before they started going crazy with the MYA printing all over the place, none the less, it should still say MYA on the metal connector between the wooden part and the hose. check the bottom of the glass, it probably won't say MYA but there should be a sticker on it saying bohemia or made in czech republic or something of the sort

I think it's only the bohemian glass bases that say that. Cheaper Mya's will say "Made in China".

Yep, look for the Mya stamp between the hose port and purge on the stem and also on the tray... The one on the stem is kinda hard to see, so look closely.
