Some Toughts

As a few of you may remember, I recently came to this forum to ask for some help to where I could find and buy a KM hookah.

Now that I successfully ordered the stuff and it was shipped to me, I just want to share my thoughts with you, if that's ok

I bought a MYA Cosmos, and a 2-hosed KM with an ice bucket

I bought my stuff from shisha-net.com, a German based company which stocks a decent amount of hookah-related stuff. They said that they shipped it to me via DHL, but to my disappointment they shipped it using normal post methods. Although the package arrived in 8 days instead of 3, it was no biggie for sure.

The package arrived torn, and mended from my local Maltese post. My guess is that it was opened up to be inspected, but they didn't care to cover it up. Even the standard Egyptian bowl that came with the KM was broken, sadly L

Thoughts about the KM – I really liked the styling, and the size of the thing. This hookah appears to be really solid, and I especially like he pull you get from this hookah. I tried it with a standard mod styled bowl, and it worked perfectly, with decent balance of smoke and flavor. Things that I didn't like about this hookah is that when one is smoking, he has to put his thumb over the pipe to allow someone else to smoke, which for me is a bit of a turnoff. That said, I blocked the second port and started using it as a normal single hosed hookah. I also really like the authentic feel of the glass vase, along with its genuine styling.

Thoughts about the MYA – This thing is SEXY. Absolutely gorgeous. It also came with a metal cage so it can be transported easily, and I also ordered it an Egyptian style bowl adapter, along with a hose adapter to use it with multiple hoses. I especially liked the simple sleek design, its sturdiness and functionality. It's brainlessly easy to clean and store away. I also like the standard MYA bowl, has a clean look to it, holds a decent amount of shisha and retains heat well. My main turnoff was that the pull on the Mya was a bit restricted when compared o the KM.

All in all, I could honestly say that my friends and I are truly enjoying the purchase. I should be also posting some pics soon too. I'm also trying to buy a genuine Tangiers phunnel bowl from Europe, any thoughts?

Enjoy your purchase! Hmm there has to be someone who makes an auto seal hose adapter that fits KM's so you dont have to plug the hose when you smoke together. Both great pipes though, i used to have a mya acrylic, really loved that thing, it's so durable and it performs great. Try the mya with the KM hose for better draw?

Thanks Majid, I will search on the tip you gave me :) I was gonna stick some ball bearings in there, but twas just an idea. I did try changing the pipes on the MYA, problem is that the hose port isn't wide enough to fit the KM hose, so it isn't stable. Also, it's the width of the hose port thats restricting airflow, not the pipe, although it certainly helps.

As promised, here are the pics:

Nice order man, I personally dislike multi hose pipes, when you smoke with friends I know its more easy with 2/3 pipes that can be smoked from but whats wrong with good old rotation? Do a 5 pull pass system, each person takes 5 pulls then passes the pipe.

Single pipe FTW :P

The KM having a beter pull over an econo QT kind of goes without saying.

I'm not a big fan of your sig though...

I agree, the sig needs to go. Other than that, congrats on your purchase. It sounds like you need to trace back who handled your package and kick 'em in the nuts.

Phunnels rule. I bought mine from shishabuzz.com. All in all, it was quick and painless. It came well wrapped and all in one piece. There was a small problem at the beginning because I was told, after payment was done, that the colour I had ordered and that was shown as in stock actually was not. They proposed to send me another colour but I said I needed this to go with my setup so they looked again and found one. Email communication was quick and efficient. The package took under a week to get from the UK to Mallorca (Spain). Shipping was cheap.
