Well if you want to know.

I have an allergy to red dye, not as severe as it use to be. But it's still there. It's also a Very Common Allergy.

I can smoke 1 bowl of any red dyed tobacco a night, with one round of coals, any more i get a migraine, I mean "grab the 50db ear plugs and the sleeping mask, I got 5 minutes to get to bed and swallow a bottle of excedrin" Migraine.

This isn't just SB, but Tonic, AF, Some Fusion, Fantasia, and others. If they picked another color like yellow, green, blue... I would be fine. I can smoke Fusion Blue Ice all night long and it's dyed green.

I have a fair amount of SB in my stash and its pretty good shisha for what it is trying to do.

That being said, I have never paid anywhere near $20 for 250g. I pick it up cheap (similar to AF prices) in trades.

Being 2nd hand shisha, I'm sure some of it is pretty old; especially considering someone let it sit around until they decided to sell it. The flavor is still strong.

The only headaches I get are when I overload myself with CO.

All in all, it's not a bad product; it's just not nearly worth $20+ for 250g.

Personally, I would like to see what everybody is talking about, but I don't want to end up with something that loses flavour or gives me a headache, especially at that price. I have paid a lot for 250g of shisha without knowing what it'll taste like (bug powder from HJ to be exact), but at least I knew beforehand that Tangiers has long lasting flavour, and is a relaxing smoke. I don't know jack shit about SB, and I don't want to repeat the same mistake I've made before. I once bought a $20.00 tub of Fantasia Pink Lemonaide (200g) before I knew better. I originally bought a 50g pack for $6.00, and I thought it was really good (It was a n00b move, I know). Once I found out how much it would normally cost, I felt really pissed , and cheated. [img]http://www.hookahforum.com/public/style_emoticons/default/angry.gif[/img] Now I can't even bring myself to smoke it, and it gives me headaches simply because I've learned what good shisha is supposed to be (in my opinion). I promised I wouldn't ever go down that route again unless I know what I'm getting into.

I have tried SS shisha, which is designed to compete with SB. I thought SS had some really good flavours, but for now I'll stick with SS if I want something similar but a better value price wise (I purchased it during the March discount). But I will probably try SB in the future through a trade or something like that. There's nothing wrong with trying shishas to see what every body is talking about. There are so many flavors, and brands. One of these days, I'll get to try them all, who knows.

you can get smaller tins of starbuzz...i know a place where i live that sells them in the 50g tins...maybe start with that..if you want i can get a small tin of tangerine dream or strawberry margirita and send it your way.

Is SB on the forums at all? Are they reading this thread?

SB, SS, Fumari, and Romman all get their base tobacco from Jordan, right? They bring it here either unflavored or as basic flavors then mix them onsite. I'd imagine they add all the dyes and fancy packaging here. I'd like to get my hands on some of that same tobacco they're getting to see what I can make of it. I think there'd be a market for that kind of tobacco minus all the coloring and flash. I'd just have to hire Eric to work out some flavors for me.
