A13lackFish
lol, they had a huge thing on those Nigerian emails. they meet you and pretty much take your cash or have you sign up for something which steals funds or your social security.... They can also claim that a family member is dying and wants to spread his/her wealth to random people. Tati
Can I get in on this? Please? My uncle got almost fooled by something like this. He was selling something on craigslist and the guy sent him a money order with the wrong value and told him to deposit that money, and then write a check for the difference. When he went to the bank to deposit, they told him it was a fake account! They filled a police report, but no can do.

thatonethere
I'm 110% the OP posted this as a joke. I can't believe these scams are still going on. They were all the rage in 2006, and a lot of people got wise and were able to recognize these since then. Don't spend it all in one place ryno! KeepItSimple
Situation almost happened like this to my friend. She had an extra expensive couch and put it on craigslist. This woman emailed her and said she was out of town and that she would have her secretary send her a check for it. When the check came it was for like double the money she was asking, like 800 instead of 400. She called the woman and the lady said that her secretary wrote the check wrong, so just go deposit it and give the extra money to pay the movers who were coming. Because the bank would let her pull out the 400 before the check cleared, the woman was banking on it all happening before my friend found out that the check was crap. Good thing my friend waited to see if the check would bounce or not. It ended up being a shit check, so she called the lady back and told her that she knew what was going on and the lady just hung up. Close call though, the lady would of gotten 400 bucks and a couch worth 1000 had it gone the way she wanted it to.
