Km Or Mya?

Possibly startin a hookah bar soon. Trying to get the best, most durable, most portable equipment. Best bang for the buck. Heard these were the best, but also the Km has a better pull? Thanks

heh knowing these forms 90% of your votes will end up on KM. Anywho I voted Mya although i love my KM, If you are just starting Mya might be the way to go just since everything is machine made. You wont have to worry about searching for perfect grommets on sanding this and taping that. As the lounge grows you can always get KMs as well if your customers want them. KM prices also seem to be getting outrageously high for some products, I havent looked at mya but they might be cheaper for multi hose hookahs

teemsah and myas honestly. Teemsah is a little cheaper and just as good. And with Mya's you can easily replace parts.

I would say Mya, if because of nothing else the fact that the bigger ones are expandable up to 4 hoses. KM's may smoke great, but myas are all standardized. parts from A mya will almost always fit on B mya, for the large ones.

Also, you said portable. Myas break down as a standard feature, and most of the big ones come with cases for storage. Edited April 21, 2010 by rahl071

Myas are nice a durable, awesome for first time smokers who come into your bar and might be a wee bit clumsy. Also, pretty cheap and easy to get parts. Also, easily expandable with extra hose ports

For a lounge I would say Mya. You get a bunch of QTs really cheaply or you could consider using their Acrylics, easy to convert it from a single hose to up to 4 hoses, and you don't have to worry about bases getting broken.

gotta agree for a lounge Mya is the way to go. You just don't need those little personal quirks a KM can have.plus whats cheaper to replace when some idiot knocks one over.

I get what you're saying. But then again, you're not the average customer. I'm wouldn't be running a hookah master club, knowledgeable people are scarce, at least around here. I'm expecting bar hoppers, rowdy guys hopped up on testosterone, and first timers who dont seem to understand that hookah hoses are solid and will move the hookah when yanked. Pretty much preparing for

Possibly, over time, as I spread the knowledge, maybe even print up some info,I could upgrade to Km's when I'm not expecting as many first timers. Or maybe, since I would own, I'd bring my own personal hookah, and smoke it with the preferred customers, who I know wouldn't break it.As for now, due to adaptability. mya's may be the go to. Prob Qt's, maybe some bigger ones,. but I've never had as goof of an experience from an acrylic, so prob not those. Edited April 23, 2010 by delSol_si

i go to a certain lounge over another one because of the pipes. one guy has kms and other random egyptians (the one i frequent) and the other lounge is only has straight up mya acrylics. huge difference, imo.

if you aren't catering to people from the mid east, they may not care. the lounge i go to is packed with arabs and there maybe 1 to 2 table of non-arabs on a busy night of about 35+ tables. the lounge has a feel of a restaurant from the mid east transplanted over here, so i think most of the clientele think of it as a taste of home, not some guy whoring and reducing their culture to hookah and hummus.

Easier to clean and you don't need a big ass sink to clean the stems.

If I had a hookah lounge, it would be Mya's for everyone.

I prefer KMs for smokeability, but Myas in lounges are probably your best bet for ease of cleaning and adapting to more hoses...

Having both a bunch of KM's and MYA's personally I'd say MYA is the lounge hookah of choice... their durable, perfectly constructed, pretty, and smoke well...
