JEEP :)
My friend came up with this crazy idea to smoke skoal chewing tobacco out of the hookah. I told him no! but would it even be possible? whats the difference between chewing tobacco and shisha?
Travis
Do not do this, There are small pieces of fiberglass in "dip" tobacco, and this would not be a good thing to inhale. Its there to slighlty cut the gum/cheek so that the nicotine can be absorbed into your system quicker. Plus, it would just taste horrible.

People, If its not meant to be smoked, please, dont smoke it.
JEEP :)
I totally forget about the fiberglass. I did not plan on smoking it anyways it was just a random thought from a friend. Thanks
PSU Smoker
I've heard of people adding a little snuff to their tobacco for an extra kick if thats what you are looking for.
Karot
There is NOT fiberglass in chew. This is a very common myth. Salt crystals can appear in chewing tobacco which can look similar to fiberglass. As far as smoking it I'd say give it a try. I would think it'll be harsher than normal but who knows. Chaz1337
Wouldn't any fiberglass just get stuck in the water and/or bowl before it entered one's lungs?

TheyCallMeDave
It always baffles me that people even think about ideas like that when It comes to shisha smoking. Sorry, no offense to your friend. ...I wonder what would happen if you smoked shisha, with water in the base...

JEEP :)
I google searched chewing tobacco and sources say there is no fiberglass in it. Your gums already soaks what in your mouth into your blood stream. But im still cautious to try it cuz i dont know what kind of chemicals are in it and we do not want to end up on the tv show 1000 ways to die. A lot of things point to it being healthier than cigarettes but its still smoking tobacco. Who knows what kind of chemicals are used in processing shisha, especially overseas where regulation may not be American standard. Read this the other day in an environmental science book- there are over 16,000 different chemicals used in the manufacturing industry but only about 10% of them have been tested for longterm health effects. For me, I'm gonna die one day, one way or another. Until then
Hojo
Tobacco: Life's a Bitch, Make it Quick™ I personally wouldn't do it, because while dip IS juicy, I doubt it's the same juices that make for an enjoyable hookah session. If you try it, please let us know, but no one will judge you for passing on it
Cp The-killa
There are few reports confirming what additives smokeless tobacco contains, and it is very likely that brands vary in the kinds and amounts of additives used. There is a rumor that fiberglass is added to smokeless tobacco to increase the efficiency of nicotine absorption.[13] Although small, glass-like particles can be seen, this is due to the formation of salt crystals.[14] The addition of glass to dipping tobacco would be extremely ineffective as a delivery method, as bleeding and inflammation would be likely to decrease the uptake of nicotine
mattarios2
Yes, snus and dip have salt in them, that is the crystals you see, not fiberglass.
