How To: Make A Mini Hose Cleaning Funnel

Cleaning a hose can be a pain if you don't have a small enough funnel. You could always run the opening under a tap, but you might risk damaging the outside layer of the hose. This tutorial will show you how to make a hommade funnel with some common hosehold items. You will need:

Knife (Needs to be able to cut through a cola can)
Aluminum Cola Can

1.Cut a small sqare from the cola can:

2.Cut a line 1/2 way down the square, and put a small sized hole in the middle:

3.Pull one of the cut edges torwads the other until it is shaped like a funnel. Bend the edges that are poking out at the top to keep if from unfolding:

4. You may have the make the hole bigger, but you should now have a small funnel for your hose

Or a regular, plastic kitchen funnel could be used if the hose opening is big enough. I can't see any pictures due to my location, but if it is a non washable hose, then you're in for some really nasty smoke sessions. Edited May 3, 2010 by thatonethere

Another thing that I think would work is a funnel made for reloading ammunitions. They are designed to fit over the outside of a case. Some of the ones almost look like an hourglass with a much smaller cone on the bottom haha. That would probably work good if it fits snug over the end of the hose, best of all they are fairly easy to find, almost any sporting/outdoors/gun store will generally stock a fair amount of reloading equipment. I would test with mine but its got powder residue caked to it, and I doubt that would be the best thing to get inside my hookah hoses lol.
