baumann
Loaded 4 coco halves on some lucid kashmir cherry and it burned the shiiiii out of it. Too much heat? I loaded it correctly, like any other tangiers bowl I've loaded. I used to use 4 whole golden pieces, but are cocos that much hotter?
mushrat
ya too much heat. start with a real small amount and work up.but give it time to heat up before you add more. Lucid and OG take the same heat.

joytron
Depends on the bowl size. I have found K-Cherry to be very forgiving when it comes to heat, but the general rule of thumb is if it starts to burn take off a coal. For the small phunnel four halves of the old cocos work well and three whole cocos of the new design. If its mini the new cocos are kinda a bitch, but three halves of the old work perfect. This is going to depend of course on how tight you pack the bowl.
Webbles
Small - 3 Golden Canary jap coals Medium - 4 Golden Canary jap coals ------ Subsitute 1 golden canary w/ 1/2 Coco or CH coal You can also use a full Coco or CH natural coal but yer gonna have to have about half of it off the bowl. You cant center the entire coal on the shisha, so place it on the edge. Keep moving it to the edge till it stops burning :-P
Karot
I usually go with two whole cocos on a medium/small tangiers phunnel (I say medium/small cause its either a small medium or a large small) and that seems to work pretty well. Might be a little much as I notice that after about 10-15 minutes of them burning down it smokes a bit better. Or that could just be the bowl warming up. Deutsch am Herzen
not to jack the op, but whats the difference between "new" and "old" cocos? ive gotten both i think. one more cube shaped and the other more of a flater rectangle

TobiasKM
I've used 3 or 4 halves of CH quicklites on my Medium Phunnel. I start out with 4 to get it going, but quite quickly cut back to 3 before it starts burning. And then just move it around the bowl from time to time It's work quite well for me. ih303
In my experience, Noir takes a little less heat than Lucid. I start my Lucid bowls like I start everything else - three CH Nats. If it gets hot, I pull a coal. I do tend to pack all my bowls pretty full. It'd make sense that would allow it to take more heat. Then again, I don't mess around with Cocos. They're too expensive and burn too hot, plus I'm too lazy to split 'em. John's coals are priced right and put out just the right amount of heat without splitting.
