Charley
humans are violent by nature in the past we had to be to survive. it is nurture that has made us lose most of our violent tendencies. however they are still there in each and every one of us to some extent even if they never manifest themselves into an act of violence. watching violent movies reading about violence in the news and literature playing violent video games or even watching violent sports provides many of us with an outlet for the remaining tendencies that are left within us. if someone goes on a killing spree after playing grand theft auto then they have some kind of mental disorder. yes maybe they get the idea to car jack someone from the game while on there spree but it is the mental disorder that caused them to go on it not the game. they would still have done it even if the only game they ever got to play was pokemon. (although if the only game I ever got to play was pokemon I would probably develop a mental disorder of my own.)

thatonethere
People always look for an excuse for bad behavior, but in the long run, it was their choice. They knew exactly what they were doing, and using something like a video game, a genre of music or movies as an excuse sounds like pure escapism.
