Tangiers In A Mya?

I'd like to get my local shop to stock Tangiers, so I offered to bring a sample in to the owner for him to smoke and test out.

The problem is I know he doesn't have a phunnel, so my question is, what packing method would be best for a mya?

none...its hopeless hahaha. seriously, no idea. i didnt know it was possible to smoke tangiers in anything other than a phunnel lol.

i would just bring it to him with a phunnel. sit down and smoke it right then, ask him what he thinks.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I think I'm going to try to pack a bowl later, light and fluffy, and see how that goes. I'm only recommending lucid to him now. Seeing as I can't even get Noir to smoke correctly 100% of the time myself, I think it would be a pain and also somewhat futile for him to try teaching all of his customers how to properly set it up.

NO, dont pack it light and fluffy! Your gonna burn your lungs up haha. Ask Jay (Arcane), or Stuie, they should know how to smoke it out of an egyptian bowl.

well if the holes are on the bottom of the bowl, how is air supposed to get through?

By mya i think you mean the stock mya bowl right. Take the bowl Put your thumb ober the holes and pack the shisha real tight around your thumb. Sprinkle the tobacco loose in the center, foil, and poke holes all the way through.

Yeah sorry. I meant any standard clay bowl actually. I'll give that method a shot! thanks!

I pack tangiers in a standard mya all the time. Pack it like you would any othertobacco, light and fluffy. Just use next to NO coals. The stuff will burn easily.

I did this and it worked great but I didn't put any in the center, I just left it empty. I didnt poke any holes in the center to avoid too much air.

Yea, when I said no to the light and fluffy its because I was refering to the time I tried that, but I used a normal amount of heat that you would for a phunnel....wasnt a good idea haha

i use this way....sorta. i don't use my finger...just kinda push tobacco against the sides then sprinkle some in the middle...


i've yet to try the method mush mentioned and i'm a bit lazy on my heat management...hopefully, it doesn't involve too much work...i'd like to try it out though.
