Hookah Bliss Is No More.

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry, Mush. Let's just hope this is not a preview of things to come for the rest of the states.

I know! You should become a hookah consultant. Travel the world consulting other lounge owners on how to do better business. That's the ticket!

I'd like to see Adam team up with Eric, I think it could be epic.

I'm sorry that this had to happen, but you fought hard, and stood up for yourself and your right to run a business.

Maybe in the end, you will realize it was for the best. You know how to run a business, you just gotta get back up and do it again.

Perhaps though, with the direction this country is heading with tobacco, and if everyone here is to be believed, a non-addictive form of tobacco that people can just stop at that, maybe putting your money back into a hookah opportunity is not the best idea. The way taxes are heading, and laws are heading, it will not be profitable.

I would say that look for the big sheesha producers to dabble in the herbals for sheesha consumption in the near future. It's the only answer to what is happening in this country.

What are your plans?

Very sorry to hear about this mush.. Every state right now is slowly adopting new laws which are making it harder and harder for hookah lounges to survive..really blows

Sorry to hear this. Each state has it's anti-tobacco crusaders. What bothers me is how some people feel they have to dictate to others what they think is best for them. Florida has billboards proclaiming it's goal is a smoke free state. I can see the writing on the wall. Unless the hookah bar owners pool together and get a lobby group, pay lawers, and have a political action committee this will be repeated over and over...... Problem is who is going to lead the charge....... The opposition knows how the game is played and has no opposition.

Now i'm even more upset that i haven't made it out there now that i have seen those pics. Look at all those happy people boosting the economy that the government just eliminated.

True that. I'm sorry I was never able to make it out that way and partake of the goodness known as Hookah Bliss.

Appalling.

What happened to the country I was born in?

What bravado...to outlaw businesses with no grandfather clause.

It's called social engineereing/regulation. Don't you know? They know best how you should behave and what you should do with your spare time and with your life. I'm sure they have a sad story so that they can impose their view and values on the rest of us. It's gotten so ridiculous.

The Florida legislature has just passed a butt crack law. No kidding! It's now illegal to wear pants that show your butt crack. I don't know if they've notified the plumbers union yet.........

Sorry to hear about the shop Mush. Seems like it's no longer We The People. It's We The Goverment, will tell you what we think is best for you along with what we can and can't do. Gotten just crazy if you ask me. Be nice if D.C. would let us run our own lives. wishful thinking I know.

In 3 years I'll be attempting a start-up lounge with a tin-foil Tang emphasis (no bar around here uses foil, which kills even Tang..only Nak tends to work for 1/2 hour, and the markets expanding in Utah: smoke shows are springing up everyone, and bars are adding lounges all over), hopefully Mushy will be up for some paid consultancy work for aspiring lounge operators :D

The lack of grandfathering is truly abhorrent.
