Chreees

Well, it's either the Fumo or I can drop a grand on a Meduse Coralica (Coralica light mono 816 €). The base on it's symmetrical and looks better. That and I like the mouthpiece's on certain Meduse designs. Fumo has similar mouthpieces if they are glass, but Meduse has these metal tips that seem more durable. I don't know anyone who's smoked out of either. I'm just sick of cheap hookahs that retain a residue of taste from previous smokes.
One word: Why? 'Rani
I guess cause he makes a LOT of bank and can, so he does? Kinda like how rich people spend money on more expensive cars, houses, etc.... Just because they can. They COULD be just fine and happy with a fairly-priced car and a humble home, but they have the money, so they feel the need to "fit into" their status as a rich person, and make sure everyone knows what they've got. Majority of us have Myas and Khalil Mamoons because we're on average mostly middle-class. But some people can afford hookahs that cost $1,000+. So they will buy those instead. Epoch
Maybe he just thinks it's super-awesome and is willing to save a ton of money to spend on it. Edited September 7, 2011 by Epoch
alemci
In my case i dont have lots of money. But i have enough money to have a fumo. And why i ordered it? BecAuse i am a aktive hookah user.. Everynight i light up my hookah and i was always thinking that "why all hookas are the same" an "how it cAb be more tasty". And i realized that the cleanless is the big point. May be the biggest. When i clear the base with soep an water, it's okay.. Therr is no dirtyness and bad smell on it. But the hose, stam and the bowl is not same.. In my case the bowl is made from soil. Stam is sort of iron, and the hose is unwashable. İ decided to search a hookah which is madr of totally glass. Firdt i found meduse which is a car price:) then i searched a bit more and i've found the fumo. I expect that it will suit what i need . Because for my needs i need to buy a bowl which is glass, have to buy a hose which is washable, have to buy a diffuser. And have to pay ship cost for whole of them. Fumo was 210$ and it had whole of tham with a unique design. Thats why i decided that this choice is sensible. but still hope so , because i havent got it yet. Still waiting and will see the quality
vendetta_revived
The Fumo smokes quite well. I would suggest ordering a stainless steel mouthpiece to use instead of the glass one for parties or gathering where the hose end MAY slide off a table or chair. I even like the built in diffuser. They are apparently working on a new top screen/tray design with smaller holes so I simple use both foil and the screen. Silly as it sounds it actually works quite well as the coals never actually TOUCH the foil so you get no tobacco burned to foil issues, yet the screen is just a few mm's above so you still get the heat. I just use my tongs to lift the screen platform off and dump it in my cauldron about as often as I pull the bowl and blow the holes clear on any hookah. I own the F-4. mushrat
Piece of junk forum ate my post..er..i mean lets try this again. Whats "worth it" to one person is not always "worth it" to another. That's a personal call i don't make for other people. It is a nice hookah, works really well, looks cool, and won't rust. It will break so i still suggest the SS mouth piece upgrade if you lan on using it around a bunch of people, and you better keep it clean or the whole world can see how lazy you are if there is gunk in all the parts. As to it being different in the smoking department, it has a built in diffuser, which ive never used before, so that may be making the difference as to how it hits but she does hit smooth. It's still a hookah, a simple device really, so its not going to be all THAT different. This is more of a purchase if you just want something cool and different that actually happens to WORK as an added bonus. I'll try to get some smoke pics. alemci
İ ve already purchased it with ss mouthpiece and with an extra glass mouthpiece hose as a gift. So i guess i will have 2 glass mouth piese one ss mouthpiece. You are right in that , everything may be different but at the end "its just a hookah" . The important thing is it gives you what you want or not.. I hope that it smokes well as it seems:)
alemci
Today i've received my fumo pod. My first review is "it's greatest hookah i've ever used". The point is this hookah is not just for smoking, its also for the smooker who wants a "special" thing. The glass fittings are great. It may be wonderfull glass but anyway you feel like you can break it easilly. You pay so much so you think that you have to be very carefull,i think. Another point is you just taste the flouver of your tobacco, not another thing.. Hose is great.. I suggest stainless steel hose rather then glass one. I will share photos of it tomorrow. I also think about a short video
littlec
I've smoked out of one what do you want to know? Glass mouth piece was fine it's pretty similar to smoking out of plastic, the draw was comparable to a good KM with a diffuser (it's built into the fumo stem) purge was like any common chamber hookah. All in all buy it for the looks as it's nothing out of the ordinary in performance. Edited September 22, 2011 by littlec

Coyote
thats insense. i dunno, i never even thought about using my teeth to hold the hooah.
Maybe it's a Jacksonville thing. I go to the hookah bar here all the time and see people holding the hoses with their teeth. They are made of wood, so people bite down on them.
I just wanted to put my two cents in here. I can't get a glass tip because I'm afraid I will bust my teeth. This is the same reason that I took Car Bombs by pouring in instead of dropping in. I also do the bite and hold thing with the hose. At the lounges those plastic tips end up completely chewed up because I will just sit there with the hose in my mouth chewing away (this is probably a habit formed out of chewing on plastic straws all day eerday at work). As far as the "fumo grade" class and steel... i would love to have a hookah that is completely washable, doesn't ghost, and is easy to clean. So yeah if I had money I would probably get one of these. They aren't very pretty though. In the meantime while I'm waiting for my riches I will continue to survive on Hass' hand-me-downs.
