Francesco - Nooo!!! It has that stupid plastic thing on the stem and makes it look like generic chinese stems

Vapor - Holy smokes Batman, that is overpriced!

Gyro looks like an elongated mya acrylic stem.

Base on the econogon looks cool but not worth the price.

Eh not diggin the screw on bases at all.  I like being able to buy and use different glass.

In my opinion price doesn't match with the materials standard they are using. This is a sad but true, but if I wanted costly but cheap material Hookahs I would shop at my local store and not online. and price still doesnt match on the ones with the normal material, I'd by a KM first and I really dig my QT so it's nothing against MYA just these version and prices.

i don't understand the 'econogon' and the econo gyro. how are they even similar to the normal versions of those pipes? the econogon is 24" while the regular paragon is 33" and the pattern is completely different. the stem on the econo gyro is all metal but the regular gyro is cloisonne. wtf? the bases on the econogon and the paragon aren't even the same? how are they even related?

it doesn't matter. I was thinking about getting the econogon (pricey, but i just think it looks sexy as hell) for my trip to spain even though it's pretty big and the base would take up a lot of room. i talked to H-S' customer support and the guy said they're made out of the 'same materials, just not as heavy' so i guess not as dense? but he specifically said they aren't made out of aluminum. i think i'm gonna hold off on the econogon until i get back from Barcelona and unload some of my spare pipes that are laying around. i actually much prefer the base and stem design and height of the econogon over the standard paragon. just my thing.

myas are WAY overpriced imo. but i just can't deny that thing.

nevermind. i found it. i don't think they look similar at all. not to mention, apparently the orb has been discontinued. imo, the orb looks like an oversized vortex.

you can use other mya bases. I use my big cut-glass base with my vortex stem all the time, because the vase looks better. you just slip a mya vase grommet over the threads, and in it goes.


I wish the first hookah you listed had a better looking stem. Other than that, interesting imo. Edited May 11, 2010 by rahl071

yea, orb has been discontinued. I didn't mean to say they look exactly alike, i jsut mean i think they look very similar, and yes, i agree the vortex looks similar to the orb as well. I've kinda noticed mya uses like 3-4 different styles and everything else is just a variation of those styles.
