Maybe they have been smoking Ed Hardy or something... And when I do eventually decide to get pregnant I will stop smoking hookah. I know it isn't good for you, not as bad as ciggs, but not good. Anything other than oxygen in your lungs i a bad idea.
Toxik916
Cannon I agree with everything you just said. I really doubt we will ever see an article on a major news outlet that will be written from our view point. The media always tries to scare people about things.. This is why we have "swine flu epidemics" and anthrax scares. There is always something thats gonna kill us.
thatonethere
It's funny you guys should bring this up. I was just reading that article and it was funny, especially the fruit serving myth. Like that one guy who said he didn't know why anyone would ever smoke tobacco out of a hookah, it would ruin the hookah forever. Pendejo! Smack him a couple of times. I swear some people just watch Alice in Wonderland and think they are an expert when it comes to hookah. Because everyone knows that wasn't shisha in the catepillar's hookah, so therefore EVERYONE must be using other illegal substances in their hookahs. Ugh People Annoy Me.
Exactly, I was smoking with my friend and her fiance. He was being an ass, which is nothing new, and was dissing on me for how small my QT is. I told him something like Hey be nice to my Rosa, she ain't being bad to you right now is she. His reply? him: WTF you name your hookah? me: Um Yeah. People name their cars, why can't I name my hookah? him: So her name is Rosa? me: Yeah, it's german for pink. him: Can we maybe introduce Rosa to the feminine name for NHT? me: Hell no! You buy and wreck your own goddamn hookah for that shit! him: What!!! Why you yelling at me? Thats what you DO with hookah. me: No that is NOT what you DO with hookah. And if you disagree, there a couple of big ole fuckers who have a foot and 50lbs on you and would like to speak with you. Never tell a hookah smoker that you would like to use NHT with their hookah, sure way to piss 'em off. God I am so sick of these people. I'm sick of telling my friends at work about the new hookh I'm about to buy and then getting pulled into the office because I'm talking about illegal substances and shit. Which means I have to explain to them for like a hour how hookah is not illegal and you can buy Shisha on the freaking internet, but it still ends with me getting a piss test. NitetimeReign
That article goes to show the media is doing what it does best, twist Fact and fiction. I busted up at the fruit serving thing, never heard that myth before..lol And I like most of you have to explain that my Hookah a QT also is JUST for flavored tobacco and NOTHING else. Whats also crazy is that when I used to drink myself silly night after night (when I was younger)LOL it was ok. But I get a Hookah and wow you would think I'm a criminal now. Reports like this as Lucy Ford said does not help our cause in people understanding why we like our Hookah to begin with. Wow once again all I can say is stupid media! Stuie
okay 2 things I noticed that bugged me before I even read the article: 1) Picture - Is the dude on the right smoking a hookah or running kissing drills on his hand? 2) Title - 1 in 4 young adults has used a hookah - I suck at grammar but I am pretty sure that's how my illiterate uncle would say that. Karot
I don't necessarily mind ignorant people so much, it's a clear sign of people I know I don't ever need to talk to. I didn't even have to read the article to know it was full of crap. I saw "MSNBC" as the source and instantly knew. I never trust corporate media for anything; independent sources only. Here's my own research: I can smoke for my usual 2 hours and still hustle my fat ass up a couple flights of stairs. Zero breathing impairment. And as far as water filatration goes, it DOES work...especially if you have a diffuser. It's weird watching your water slowly turn from clear to tan during a session.
