gambit13
I've never done this but have any of you guys ever washed out your hookah in the washing machine? Sorry if this is a dumb question, heh.
Catalyst Paintball
Why would you need to put it in the washing machine?A good rinsing for a few times will get the job done. Throwing your hose in the washer could only speed up wear, and maybe even damage it.
gambit13
I was mainly talking about the base and stem. Iono, maybe some people are too lazy to scrub with brushes.
Catalyst Paintball
Ok, you must mean dish washer, because throwing your base in stem into CLOTHES washing machine is crazy.I guess you could throw your base and stem into the washing machine. I don't really see what good it does. When you clean your hookah out with brushes, you are removing any build up in the stem. A dish washer does not have that ability. It would meerly rinse the base out, and maybe the stem if you are lucky enough to have water flow through inside the machine.I really think you should stay away from throwing your hookah parts into any machine. Brush cleaning only takes a few minutes. You may take more then that trying to situate everything in the washer.
gambit13
Yea, sorry. I meant dish washer. I would personally never do it, but I imagine there may be some people who might rinse it in there after a brush cleaning.
surfpico
Someone should do it...just to see if they have a hookah in the end.Do itttttttt.
aronparsons
The base could probably be washed well in a dishwasher (without the heated dry), but is probably unnecessary. A little soap or lemon juice and water does the trick.
mushrat
I've put my bowl in the dishwasher once...It was getting REALLY funky. Worked out fine.
Macho555
Some hookahs are actually billed as dishwasher safe on their sites, but I've never been brave enough to try it...I suppose a vase would be no different than cleaning a glass though.
Glottis
Yeah, I don't see why not. Maybe I will give it a spin sometime.
thepyrofish
I may try this with my vase...I have a bad habit of not tearing down/cleaning my hookah until the next morning if I am up late. I smoke with some milk in the base and forgot about it. You can't really smell it anymore now that I cleaned it a couple times, and what smell is still there is probably my imagination, but it's discomfiting. yashman19
I bathe with mine...I call her Charlene.
No joke. I shower with mine when its hardcore cleaning time. I only brush the stem about 1-2 times per month, and when I do, I just bring the whole thing in the shower with me. You know how you get all that dirty spray when you brush out the stem, and when you pull out the brush, millions of wet dropplets get sprayed everywhere because of the tight seal. Well when doing that in the shower, its no big deal making a mess. Damn... reading this back to myself, I sound like a kinky freak

Lord Dorian
yes it works, but make sure you take the gaskets off, dish washers get very hot and can ruin them
