Okay, so after thinking about this i went and looked at a few Fedex rates and... well lets say i would be better off buying over here....

but then, i found this... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080910225947AACCeYJ

I'm thinking if someone could just shove 5 or so 50g sealed boxes into a manila business envelope, get it stamped for air mail and throw it in the post box and see what happens. There's a few extra dollars in it for whoever is kind enough to do it too :)
(This won't be for a few weeks though, gotta see how my order at hookahcompany.com pans out)

Well, it's been a week and still my order hasn't arrived. So i rang the company who then proceeded to tell me that their warehouse was flooded and they are currently in the process of moving. Nothing will be delivered until the middle of June, plus the week to get it here once it's in the mail system.

A month, for something i could drive 24 hours to get....

FML :(

Damn dude I'm sorry. I was wondering where a lot of their stock on the website went to. Guess I'm lucky my gut told me to wait until june to order my KM from them. Wow. I am so sorry for you. Anyway you can cancel the order without any cancellation fees? Dude that sucks, for you and them.

I understand your predicament (been there too, though things finally are not so bad in Spain, compared to Australia, lol). The point of my post though is your phunnel bowl. Most likely, both you and the vendor are well aware already of the points I am addressing, but, given your order is not shipped yet, I think it's better to be on the safe side and post anyway, just in case.

I understand Syrians traditionally have female stems and from the picture on the vendor's website it seems to be the case for your hookah too. As the phunnel is female too, is there a female to female adapter in your order?
the phunnel bowl page on this website is a bit confusing to me. it states
We’re happy to carry the famous Tangiers phunnel bowl design from both Tangiers, the name-brand producer, and from a larger-scale producer that allows us to sell the same quality bowl at a more affordable price.
. But there is no way on their page to specify whether you are ordering a Tangiers phunnel or a knock-off, and there is only one price. So, are you sure you had ordered a Tangiers phunnel? As opposed to what they state there, I understand most knock-offs are of an inferior quality, mostly due to the heat conduction properties of clay used and, in some cases, becaude of the phunnel height. re. HOW-TOs on packing non-tangiers in a phunnel bowls, here are 2 good tutorials Chris (Incubusratm) pointed me to and have served me well:

http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/33144-nakhla-og-tutorial/

I hope that if this didn't help, at least it did not hurt (beyond the 2 minutes lost on reading my long winded post)

Good luck!

Just found a genuine MYA dealer who operates out of Sydney and does orders over the phone, add to it what matias stated above and the fact that i have been offered the opportunity to cancel the order at no extra cost, i cancelled it!

now the big question, should i go with a 22" acrylic base for 70, or shell out the extra 30 and get me a MYA bohemian?

(ordering a Phunnel from somewhere else :) )

Oh good, glad you got your money back. Go for the bohemian man. Those things look so swank and awesome. If you take care of it, it is something you can pass on to your children. Plus a bohemian is impressive & good for entertaining, acyrilic not so much.
The nice thing about acryillic is it is pretty hard to break. Good if you have a lot of drunken parties lol.

This is the best deal I found in Europe. I bought, among other things, a small phunnel from them. They were quick, efficient and had cheap shipping. It was all very well packed. I do not know what would be faster though, shipping to Australia from the USA or from the UK.
