Never Had Tangiers

but what i want to know is this... is this shit that good? like from every thing i have read on this forum everyone makes it sound like you smoked gods stash of shisha.

To me this is what sets it apart: intensity of flavor, and the fact that one bowl lasts FOREVER. The absurd kick is another aspect, but to me that's not always desirable

if you can get it to smoke properly, it's fantastic.

best flavor for me is Static Starlight...K-Cherry in a close second...I think Apple or Mint is competing for 3rd atm...

I'm with the OP. Apart from the fact its difficult to get hold of I haven't tried it because I choose the tried and tested flavours over something new .

I also used to hear about some acclimatisation issues?? Never had a problem like that. I just pop open the can and start smoking.

Tangiers is just great man. I've tried tons of brands (nothing compared to a lot of members on here) and I keep coming back to it. Just can't help myself.

My recommendation would be to get a lucid and an OG version of flavors, that way while you're acclimating one you can try the other. Flavor is like no other if you get it to smoke right

Tangiers is the best brand of tobacco out there, I believe. The intensity of flavor and HUGE doomsday clouds are just so rewarding... once you get your packing and heat management right, that is.

As everyone said, it all depends on if you can pack it, and manage your heat. If you can follow the simple necessities in packing it, and heat management, then it will smoke the way it's meant too. For me I love it for a few reasons:

1.) The bowls last forever. I've smoked on a bowl of Tangiers in the Alien for almost 4 hours before, and it still wasn't really done, I was just over smoking it.

2.) There is no artificial or "chemical" taste in it. This is hard to explain, but you'll understand after you smoke it, and try to smoke Starbuzz or even AF.

3.) The tobacco is premium. You can tell just by looking at it when compared to other brands. Tangiers is like a nice rich German Beer, and other brands are like Smirnoff Ice, in terms of tobacco quality (in my opinion). Compare for example Nak Mizo with Tang. Nak Mizo has long thin scrunchy type strips of tobacco. Tang has a leafier look to it. Seems more natural to me.

4.) Buzz. I like a buzz, can't get it often, but if anything is gonna give me it, it's going to be Noir Tangiers.

5.) This reason has nothing to do with the actual Tangiers tobacco, and I would buy it anyway even without this.... But I don't know anyone from Starbuzz, or AF, or Nakhla. I know Eric, I can go and visit him. He's a person, and a good guy. I would much rather support him than any other faceless company. And he supports this forum, and is a mod here to boot.

Yes I still smoke other brands, but Tangiers on a whole, and overall, is the best for the reasons mentioned. You may not like it when you try it, but just remember that there are a lot of nuances to this brand. Acclimation, packing etc..... So don't judge it on the first try, because more likely than not, your gonna be like a lot of other people, including me, and there was something you do wrong that is effecting the way it's smoking. Don't psyche it up to much though, it's not rocket science, just read what people have posted in the "how to pack" and "acclimation" threads, and if anything seems off, don't be afraid to call the number on the package, it's Eric's phone number, and if anyone can help you out it's him.

Any way, good luck with it. I know your going to like it, just gotta have patience when you get it.

No. You can only find Tangiers in 250g packs. I believe somewhere (TexasHookah maybe?) used to have 100g packs of it.

I have never had Tangiers either so don't feel that bad =) I want to try it though. I have heard good things.

I've never had Tangiers either and I just received my first order of it earlier this week. I got Cocoa.

I've finished acclimating it and will probably try smoking some tonight.

I really don't know what I'm doing with this stuff though, so it will probably end up horrible. I'll be smoking out of a Super Chief (which I still haven't mastered, even with 'easy' Shisha).

Anyone have any tips?

There's a vid on youtube that shows how to pack the Super Chief, insidius. Search "Super Chief Tangiers" and it's the first one. It's a review, but he packs it at the beginning of the vid. I can't link it here because he has an intro for another forum. Hope this helps.

It's definitely worth checking out. It is my favorite brand by far. Try blue gumball, horchata, mimon, k cherry, k peach or mint. That's a good list of stuff to get an idea of whats to love from Tangiers.

I think the packing thing is over blown, it's really not that difficult. Just don't over think it

Well, I tried two bowls tonight, one packed and slightly under the lip of the bowl and one packed and full to the brim. Both times I used 2 quick lights and no wind cover, and a Super Chief.

Both bowls had good flavor, but very weak smoke and medium buzz.

Really not sure what I'm doing wrong, but the smoke is nowhere near where it should be. I can see the potential though, if I can just get it smoking right.

Pack the bowl as tightly as the shisha is in the package. This is what I've learned to do and I always get a good Tang smoke. OG Tang has the biggest buzz I've ever experienced with shisha. I've tried Nak, Nak mizo, SS, Al waha, Al F, Fantasia, Roman, Taru and a few others.

I haven't tried a whole lot of Tang flavours myself, but my favorite flavour is Horchata.

I've tried the following OG flavors:

K peach- delicious and lasts forever. I did get tired of smoking this one after a while.

Bug Powder- decent, very strong flavour. I got tired of smoking this one too. Beware of the price tag. This variety comes by once in a blue moon and when it does, be prepared to spend.

Cocoa- really chocolatey, a bit much for these taste buds.

Green Apple candy*- I can't get this one to acclimate to save my life. The first acclimation was for 4 hrs, and it still smelled like sour apple gasoline. :scratch_one-s_head:I aclimated it again for about 6 hrs and it tasted like BBQ,

It's not the quicklights. It's how densely he's packing it, hence no clouds and no buzz. Pack it as tight as it comes in the package, like thatonethere said. Remember- TIGHT!
