wazzi
hello guys, what do you think about the quality of the materials they use these days for the hookahs? and which one is better???
mushrat
Best quality and durability would be brass or brass core. I have some spun stainless steel types and they are just too light and flimsy to have any long term durability in my PERSONAL opinion.
mushrat
let me just add that traditional hookahs, ones with welded instead of screwed together pieces have one general weak point. The welds. The most complaints you weill hear involve either sloppy leaking welds around the joints and hose ports/purge valves, or the fact that this is where the first cracks/breaks occur. Think about it, you have a weld holding the curved hose port onto the stem. Every time you push your hose into the port you are pushing that port backwards toward the stem and stressing the weld. This will cause eventual failure. If you want your traditional hookah t last longer, brace the port with your hand when inserting the hose and do it as carefully as possible. (why do i see a sig on this one at some point) The less stress you can put on any welded point on your hookah will make it last longer.
wazzi
what do you think about a aluminum one made out of 1 piece no welds at all?i haven't seen one but i'm about to make one
mushrat
The spun aluminium type? I have a very nice one. not as duarble as a brass core but if you are gentle with it you shouldn't have any problem. You going to record the process?
