mustafabey
In by brief time, I've noticed that some of you have many more than one or two hookahs. For me, in recovery, it looks suspiciously a disease. I quite never seem to have one of everything. So, besides love, artistry, addiction, what other reasons are there for owning two?
mxtaylor
Only own two so this may not apply to me as much as some others that have more that are similar in size. I have a little 12" Mya Bambino that was a great starter hookah, didn't want to put a whole lot of money into the hobby. But for groups, its just not impressive enough. My big Temsaah smokes really well, a little wider tubing. That being said, I'm considering buying my third this summer, mostly as a collector's thing. Probably will buy a KM with the frosted white vase (think they are beautiful) and will buy one not quite as tall as the Temsaah so its hopefully easier to clean? rahl071
I own three. One tiny one for throwing in a backpack, a medium one for taking to small parties, and a large one that's my dedicated smoker. It doesn't move unless i'm going to a big party.

bellydancerakn
Yeah I just have my QT for now and its great for groups that have 5 or less people and for everyday use. I am about to make an order on HS and it will be over 100 and I'll get that free acrylic. This will become my new travel hookah since it is plastic (I had a scare once when driving with my QT on the floor and my dog on the seat. I had to break suddenly and Grissom fell on to my QT, she was okay, sturdy little thing, but the heart attack was not fun). I'll use it when camping or going to a friends house. And as a birthday gift for myself I'm buying a Pink Bohemian KM since I've heard all the great things about KMs, this will be a special occasions hookah. I certainly wouldn't use it every day or when i just have a couple of friends over to chill, but it would be nice for parties and the like. And I think I'll stop after that. It makes no sense to really have more. But of course I'll probably start collecting them lol. Maybe a syrian if I can get my hands on one. Also, a trimetal; those things are sooooo beautiful! hookah hippie
I have 12 hookahs and I surprisingly haven't bought one in about a year. I originally got my second because I won a contest on HS, then I bought one I liked, and a few more because I wanted them. Now I only buy hookahs if it is a hookah I think that I either don't think anyone has or one that I doubt I will run into anywhere else. For instance I have a 42" KM tri metal which I haven't seen anywhere else.
KeepItSimple
Well first off its good to see someone else who is in recovery. I can relate to you on that. For me I have four, two are medium sized and I use those for when I have people over, and need two more hookahs. I have my 36in pear because it's what I use myself and it's always the first one to be brought out if people are over. And I have a Econo Gelato because I wanted a smaller hookah for easier clean-up, and if I just didn't want a big thing sitting out, I can set it on a table. I'll be getting one more, this new one will be something that is extravagant and has a lot of design in it, also something bigger than the 36in. Don't know what it will be, but thats what I'm looking for. Too put it in perspective, why do car collectors have more than one car? Can they drive them all at the same time? No. It's not necessarily for functionality, its just something that we collect. Anyway welcome to the forum, and I'm sure you'll get a kick out of my forum name, your one of the few who will understand it haha.
mustafabey
Yes, I noticed the name earlier, but for me it has two etmologys. The first obviously is the recovery angle, but I first heard it in the Marine Corps, and I often wonder who thought of it first. I would suppose the military, as the KISS principle probably dates back to Attila. As for beauty, yes, a hookah is beauty, I can understand that. mushrat
I own somewhere between 10 and 12..havent counted recently. I just seem to acquire them here and there. Friends give me ones they don't want, i see an unusual one for sale someplace, got a style in at the bar I decided to keep one.... I think the reasons you named are good enough for me. Sonthert
My main reason for having multiple hookahs is to minimize the amount of stuck on flavor messing with the flavor of what I'm smoking. Having hookahs for different types of flavor is good for best possible flavor.
Venger
I have one...just one. It is a mya QT.Small, sturdy, portable and easy to keep clean. I smoke it daily and I don't see the point of owning another. Ray

[/quote] i wanna see!!! I used to collect them, i've had i think 9 or 10 before, but I move around too much to own that many hookahs. I only have 3 now. I a 34" KM ice, KM new butterfly, and a mini mya acrylic. I also have an extra vase just incase one breaks, lol. I am living with my gf for the summer, so i keep the KM new butterfly here at her place, then i leave my KM ice at my buddy's place for when i smoke there, and then i keep the mini mya acrylic in the box for travel. I was thinking about getting rid of the mini mya acrylic since i never use it anymore (i just like my KMs a lot more) but then a friend on here made me realize after shipping that i would only get like 20 bucks off it, and for 20, id rather just keep it. I got rid of my QT, AFs, and MZ because my cleaning brush wouldn't fit in the stem, figured it made more since to get rid of the hookahs instead of buying a new brush. dizzbizz
I have 3 hookahs and enjoy them a lot. I usually only use my Petite if I'm going somewhere or if I don't feel like setting up my big boy(Pharonie). My Pharonie is what I use most but I'll switch it up and use my standard Egyptian. I plan on buying another KM but once I do I'm gonna get rid of my Pharonie. I keep my Petite for convenience, the standard because it has sentimental value, and the Pharonie because it smokes the best.

F16WarBird
In the short time (2+ months) since I started smoking, I've aquired six. The first two were junk that I gave away. I currently own a Mya Diva, a KM Exotica (thanks Arcane!), a huge mofo that stands as tall as my shoulders, and a self contained travel hookah. The Mya is my primary pipe at the FOB because it's easier to clean, given our limited resources. I can see the KM being my "go to" when I get home. The super tall one is really just a decoration. The travel hookah has yet to be used, but I will probably use it on a few trips I have coming up when I get home.
Silivenist
I own 2 myself. A smaller 22 inch that I use just for me because its easy to clean and load. Then a 39 inch that I use that has two hoses on it for when company is over because its much more flashy.
