mxtaylor
What do you guys think? Looks pretty sweet and for $12, not a bad deal. I think I'm gonna pick up a funnel-style one. http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-6745-glass-mod-hookah-bowls.html
bellydancerakn
Oooooo. Those do look swank. I'm putting an order in thursday anyways, so I guess I'll get one. And you're right for colored glass bowls that isn't a bad price.
Hookah_510
I bought their standard glass bowl in the past. The first time the glass cracked and eventually leaked. HS was very helpful in sending out a replacement. They shipped the 2nd one and same problem again. I just said fugg it and let it be.

hookah hippie
I am pretty over glass bowls, I personally don't see the hype, I have a jet phunnel and I haven't used it a very long time, but to each his own.

poncho
from a glass eye they look like they are soft glass to me, not borosilicate (pyrex) glass which would make me very nervous about them breaking easily. soft glass cannot take the same heat that borosilicate can because the expansion rate of the material is much higher. its mostly the color work that gives it away, there is no way if it was borosilicate you would get a bowl for 11 dollars with that much color in it, the color is just to expensive. I'm ordering one Friday when I get paid and will definately post review
Stuie
I will probably pick one up, But Santino's Mini Phunnel is something you have to look into. I reviewed it already and I love it.

poncho
I agree, that letting the bowl cool down before you wash it MAY help it live a bit longer, but all that heating and cooling in the glass will cause it to crack eventually, that glass just expands and contracts to easily that you are stressing it every time. If your interested: Coefficient of Expansion means in glass or COE, "The coefficient of thermal expansion describes how the size of an object changes with a change in temperature. Specifically, it measures the fractional change in volume per degree change in temperature at a constant pressure." (from wikipedia) and the COE of soft glass aka soda lime glass is around 96, this depends on what brand of glass you buy, and the chemical make up of that material. the COE of borosilicate glass is around 33, so this is a much better choice for applications that can withstand drastic temperature changes because it expands 1/3 as much as soft glass, making it much stronger and able to withstand a lot more stress. bellydancerakn
Well I'm going to get one. I'm putting my order in tomarrow. It sure is puuuuurrrrrrdy. I probably won't use it for everyday use, but maybe when I want to impress someone.
mushrat
A quick note/disclaimer. That while we appreciate their expertise, Pancho and Santino also make and market glass bowls themselves. This doesn't make their input any less valid however and if the glass sucks, the glass sucks.
