DRT
Sorry to be a post whore today, guys, but i thought this deserved sharing. you guys ever heard of balisongs? that's the real name for butterfly knives. there are a few common misconceptions about them: 1: They are illegal ( They really aren't, they're legal to own and actually carry in some states) 2: They are shitty, chinese quality that fall apart in a few days (i own a few american made benchmades and customs that i've had for a good long while) 3: They are only used for cutting (this is the best part, i'm going to give you guys a little demonstration in a moment.) I've been flipping them around for a few months, and i really got into the scene behind them. so much so, that they're my favorite hobby next to hookah smoking. I compete internationally (yes, there is such a thing ) for knives and cash, and although i haven't placed yet, i do love it. they've helped me calm down my arthritis, and stop my tremors, due to the buildup of lean muscle in my hands. You guys may think flipping these things around is lame, but it's my personal favorite pastime (and i want to show off a little.) so without further ado, here's a little flipping of the balisong knife. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=UD-Zk1fco2I i'm still rather green here, so mods and admins, if i'm breaking any rules, don't hesitate to tear this down. NitetimeReign
Very nice moves. Takes me back to when I was 15 and used to sit outside for hours flipping my butterfly knives. People would just drive by and be like wow or like you are nuts..lol And yeah when you do the more difficult moves you don't come out with atleast getting nicked..unless your knife is dull...lol But having some cuts is part of the deal. But honestly it is still worth it. Know you got me wanting to go break out my balisongs and see what I can do after about 10 years of not really messing with them.

rahl071
much talent. I just carry a boot knife since butterflies are illegal outside the home in Texas. which is weird, because I can also carry a gun. but not a flippy knife.

Big Boss
Back in the day I had some balisongs. I always enjoyed flipping them around. I quit using them when I got busted carrying one. I was never as good as DOA or the guy in the other video, but I knew what I was doing. A funny incident came from my first night at college. My roommate came back to the room at 2:30 in the morning and showed me a balisong and said "Look what I won playing poker!" and I said "Watch this..." I dazzled him to the point where he said "Whoa... freak..." Perhaps someday I'll get another one and start practicing again. You got skills, DOA. Don't cut yourself!
