Need New Keyboard - Suggestions?

So my microsoft ergonomic 4000 decided to die today, at least four of the keys did. It might just be some moisture under the keys cause I think a few drops got on it. Before when thats happened its gone for sure. Im gonna let it sit for a while and see if it gets better but I doubt it. Anyways I'm used to ergonomic keyboards but if theres any other sweet boards out there, I'm open to suggestions. Preferably under $80. I'm using an old "normal" board atm and its already sort of infuriating getting used to it. Should I just buy what I'm used to or try something new?

I don't know if you do any PC gaming but if you do check out the Logitech G15. It's sick.

And if not, I'd just get what you are used to

if you were happy with your old keyboard....just buy another one....especially if you're used to the ergonomic style keyboards where the keys are split into two sections (i hate those!!!)

if you have certain aspirations to consider, then let us know...

i prefer the logitech line of keyboards....there are some with tacky(er) keys, less clicking sounds when typing, and overall lower profiles....

Mine died too. Seems to be a limited lifespan on them. I replaced it with a Logitech and love it.

I absolutely love all the logitechs I have used. I love my current one, even in its simplistic glory.

My favorite was that real fancy one they had with a separate num pad (it was a whole separate piece) that had a built in LCD for calculator and media control. But that sucker was pricey, don't see it on their website anymore.

The most important factor for any keyboard for me is thin... the thinest that thing is the better. I like it to sit flat (elevating keyboards is so 1995).

I use the Razor Lycosa, its gorgeous, soft type, and works amazing. I also recommend the Razor Mamba as i use that for a mouse as well

I have a Razer Tarantula and love it as well.
Sleek, soft type, programmable macros.

It is expensive, and if I had not received it as a gift I wouldn't use it.

I have a tarantula. Got it for 40 bucks when circuit city sank. Love it. Not a big fan of the mamba. THe deathadder is a perfect fir for my hand though.

After looking around I realize I have no idea what to get now. I wish more of the specialty keyboards were on display at stores so I could give them a go. I'm starting to lean more towards a gaming keyboard due to my previous one being fairly large and I need more desk space.

I once had a keyboard with a Pizza button. It would bring up your fav pizza ordering page. It had a little cartoon slice of pepperoni pizza and was labeled "Pizza"

If you don't mind spending $40-$60 buy a saitek keyboard. Their customer support is friggen awesome (Broke my spacebar, called them and they gave me a new one in less than a week.), and their keyboards light up which is awesome for night time use.
