Beginner Needs Help Picking Out A Hookah

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've been doing my research on Hookah's, their health risks, and history for the fun of it and I think I'm ready to order one.

I'm having trouble picking one out, though. I imagine it's going to be smoked only by me a majority of the time, but I would like it to smoke it with others every once in a while. Is there a specific kind that I should pick out for this kind of situation, or should I just randomly pick one from a list of small Hookah's?

I'd say you should consider how long you intend to keep this hobby...it's it's a couple years or less, just grab whatever hookah you think looks good to you...it should do the job.

if you're planning on keeping this hobby going for a few years or longer...i'd stick the pipes known for their quality such as KM, Temsaah, or Mya....from those three brands, pick whichever hookah you think looks good.

you can also find no-name brands that work great, but i'd only buy the no-names if i could evaluate them in person.

Hm, no edit button...

Maybe I should rephrase my question to, "What are the best sites to go to for Hookah's and tobacco?"

Hookah-shisha.com is the cheapest, pretty much, for hookahs and most accesories.
hookahset.com is cheapest for most shisha. But have a list of backup flavors ready in case they don't have a partivular flavor in stock but haven't updated their site yet.
Hookahjohn.com always has cool and fairly cheap KMs instock. He is also active on the forum and is easily reached if there is a problem or question.
nazarhookah.com is very very very cheap for hookahs and is also extremely easy to get ahold of.
hookahcompany.com has some things that others don't and some things they lack.

All in all there are tons of places to order from.

Browse the vendor reviews section for a better idea http://www.hookahfor...vendor-reviews/

Item reviews so you know what is a good hookah and good shisha http://www.hookahfor...rum/13-reviews/
Vendor Threads http://www.hookahfor...37-vendor-area/
Discount Thread http://www.hookahfor...line-customers/

Hope this helped!!! Good luck!

also check craigslist and ebay...but do compare the prices...there are risks involved buying used Ill assume you know these...there are threads here "ebay finds..." "craigslist finds..." you could look in those threads for some rare finds

southsmoke.com too is a good one to add.

I say get a Mya from hookah-shisha or southsmoke, spend over 100 bucks or whatever, get an acrylic for free. with a 60 dollar hookah and a bunch of flavors of shicha to try, 100 bucks is pretty easily attainable if you're willing to spend it.

Definitely take a look around.

It's hard to find a quality hookah by just looking at pictures.

I would look at the sites mentioned above, maybe pick out a few, and post them in here....maybe some of the members here on the forum have experience with them and can give you feedback on them.

Personally, my first hookah was a 22" Egyptian. It was awesome until the vase broke. I still have one now and it smokes like a champ. It is the hookah that I personally recommend to my customers if they are just starting out and don't want to spend over $100 on a hookah.
