Need A Gasket?

Okay so!!! I'm finally breaking down and buying a KM (My wallet quivers at the cost). I wanted a bohemian and was eyeing the pink one at Hookah Company, but it seems they have run out or something. So no one has one I REALLY like that is under 150 after shipping, so I'm ordering a base and stem seperatly. Specificaly this base(model #4) [url="http://www.hookahcompany.com/medium_montego_bell_vase_3098_prd1.htm"]http://www.hookahcompany.com/medium_montego_bell_vase_3098_prd1.htm[/url] and this stem(blue with tray) [url="http://www.hookahcompany.com/caramana_stainless_km_stem_4456_prd1.htm"]http://www.hookahcompany.com/caramana_stainless_km_stem_4456_prd1.htm[/url] .
Now my confusion is do stems come with gaskets? Or (less likely) do maybe bases come with gaskets?
Also, it seems like the large egyptian gasket [url="http://www.hookahcompany.com/standard_rubber_vase_308_prd1.htm"]http://www.hookahcompany.com/standard_rubber_vase_308_prd1.htm[/url] would be too small for it, but the large egyptian gasket on Hookah shisha [url="http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-1058-egyptian-hookah-base-grommet.html"]http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-1058-egyptian-hookah-base-grommet.html[/url] seems too big (even though it says KM size).


UGH I am so confused!!!!!!!

May I suggest calling them and asking. The folks at HC are nice and usually very helpful. Saves the rest of us from guessing at an answer we really don't know.

and since you are buying the base from them, they will know which grommet to give you even.

oh, and go with whatever he says, but it says that that vase you linked to is a size 26, and the opening diameter is 1 5/8" so I am pretty sure you will not need a jumbo grommet...large or medium, but probably large. The size 29 or 30 vase with the 2" opening (most KM vases) are the jumbo's. But like I said, just go with whatever Georgie says, he is the on that is going to see the items. He might even end up sending you a Syrian grommet instead of egyptian. I know when i was asking him about grommets for the 36" AF, him and Walt both told me to go with the Syrian grommet.

Was that the whole hookah or just the stem?

I suggest you also call them, they have a great reputation and will for sure help you.

But if I were to take a stab at it.....the stem would come with a vase grommet. Just a guess.
