Coleman
I have been looking at all three of these hookahs and have liked how small they all are. I feel the petite is overly small at 8 in tall but it is able to be placed in so many different places. The Bambino is good height at 12 in tall and has a very nice design to it. It also seems like it woulld be less likely to tip over or have any problems like being knocked over. Which is more worth it to buy and what extra accesories such as new hoses and stuff would be good to purchase? insidius
I've been thinking about this recently too since I want to get a smaller hookah in the future. To me, it seems the Bambino is the better purchase. It comes with the carrying case and extras, it's a good size but not too small, and it does seem sturdier than the QT. But I haven't seen either in person, so this is just theory.
Coleman
Yes it seems better to have the carrying case but at the same time the mya petite doestn need one you can put it any where. I feel like the petite is just right and can only get better with a small tangiers phunnel bowl i want to get a namoor hose but i feel like it will tip the hookah because it seems to heavy for such a small hookah. Also anyone have anything to say about a diffuser, it seems like it helps but i want peoples opinions. Venger
I have the QT and I can tell you it is a solid pipe. The base is short, wide, and the glass is really thick. You will never knock this over unless you are really clumsy. Even if you were to pull on the hose your more likely to pull the hose out than knocking it over. QT comes with a carrying cage that you can actually set the pipe up in and smoke. When I camp I keep it set up in the cage and smoke around the campfire. cage protects the rig and when I am done I can carry to the next place i want to smoke. ih303
Personally, I don't like either the Bambino or the Petite. Here's why: The Bambino is all about looks. Sure it's small and comes with a case, but the thing that sells the Bambino is the etched body and spiky base. The shape of the base makes it relatively unstable. Further, the hose port that comes on it is this funky angled piece that is different than the typical Mya hose port. I don't like that because, IMO, one of Mya's strengths is that there are so many interchangable parts which makes it easier if you ever need to replace something. This is not the case with the Bambino. So, my verdict on this hookah is this... If you are in love with how it looks, buy it. If you're more concerned with how it works, read on. The Petite is crap, IMO. I just don't like anything about it. Most of the people I sell them to are only interested in one feature - price. First, the base only holds a tiny bit of water since if you fill it even a tiny bit too high, it rusts the unwashable hose it comes with. Such a small base and so little water lead to this hookah being extremely light. I've seen these literally slide off our bar after someone tried to make the hose reach a little too far. Also, the hose port AND the hose are both tiny - much smaller than typical Mya hoses/ports. Therefore, if you want to put a regular or washable hose, you have to buy a new port. And if you DO buy a new port, there's no way to attach a hose without tilting the tiny little tray. Even the cone where the head grommet and head sit is smaller than normal. If you want to smoke any normal bowl, you have to buy a big squishy white grommet. And don't get me started on the bowl. As if the standard Mya bowl isn't shitty enough. This thing is half the size. Ugh... like I said, I'm not a fan. The thing to remember with small hookahs is this: you will generally get the same QUANTITY of smoke from all hookahs. However, the smaller the hookah, the warmer the smoke is and the tighter the draw. Lots of people like small hookahs for their portability, but it gets to a point where you're sacrificing quality for that portability. Case in point - the Leila. Great idea, but smokes like shit. That being said... BUY A QT. The QT is unsurpassed, IMO, in the realm of <20" hookahs. It's base is big and wide enough to hold a respectable amount of water and weigh the hookah down so it doesn't move all over the place. It has standard Mya hose ports on it that can easily be interchanged to upgrade it to a 2-hose (no purge), if you really wanted to do such a thing. And doing this does not affect functionality at all. We serve QT's as part of our hookah menu at my lounge, and it's not uncommon for us to throw a Razan and Tangiers Phunnel Bowl on a QT. The solid brass innards rarely require cleaning, and they even come with a carrying cage. Ultimately, I say you get the biggest bang for your buck with this hookah.
I think the QT is a far superior hookah mainly for three reasons; 1) the carrying case, I think that it is pretty self explanatory 2) Looks, I always thought the QTs looked kinda cheap, maybe it is because they have so many ripoff versions of it but something about it is just really boring and plain. The cloisonné stem is really unique. 3) The smooth heart. The fact all the other mya pipes have rough hearts really bugs me, it seems like once they start ghosting bad there is no real way to reverse it. No matter how much you soak it the flavor is embedded into the pipe. That never happens to the bambino. I got a qt vase on my bambino so i really cannot know about the whole tipping issue, and as far as the hose port I cant ever see that being an issue at all. Really unless you are absolutely adamant about having a two hose hookah, or you prefer the look of the QT, I feel the bambino is the better choice. dizzbizz
Well I don't know if you're planning on taking this hookah to parties or what but I bought my Petite a while ago for taking to parties. It smokes great but as other mentioned its too small to "tip" but its so light it'll fly off the table. I use it as my table top hookah but I'd recommend a QT or Bambino over it. My friend has an older model of QT and its smokes great no problems with it tipping or anything. Its a very solid pipe.

Coleman
yeah i've really like the Mya QT but i feel that the petite is also a good choice because im going to replace some parts on it like the hose but i feel a namoor hose will tip the petite. but i dont mind the light weight of the petite because its going to be well watched and carefully handled at all times. But i also feel the QT is nice because you spend what your getting and from what people havesaid the QT is pretty darn good
rahl071
I've gotten two petites. You would have to try to tip it. It's really well set up as far as where the weight sits. Fore the money, the QT is amazing. It's well made, cheap, parts are readily available, it's big enough that two people can smoke it with no problem, but still small enough to put in the cage and bring to a party. One of my best friends has one, and we all love hers. I have used the bambino, though. I much prefer its case, it looks amazing, you can swap the base to a QT base which makes it more stable. I say if you're spending the money anyway, get one of the more expensive pipes.
ih303
The Petite won't tip because of its low center of gravity, but it will slide all over the place. And throwing a better hose and bowl on a petite is like throwing an aftermarket intake and muffler on a Dodge Caravan. Better to start with something good which will justify the upgrades. My major gripe with the Bambino is the base (avoidable by using a QT base) and the angled hose port. It's also more expensive than the QT. Sure, it comes with a box instead of a cage, but check this - you can actually smoke your QT out of the cage! Honestly, I've never done this personally, but a few of my customers say they've done it at parties and such to keep their gear from getting broken. Pretty cool if you ask me. RyanLDZ
Petite all the way, its small, pulls amazing, very convenient to move around, low center of gravity so tipping is very unlikely, ball bearing is amazing.
Before I broke my Petite's base, I had a blue nammor from HJ in it. It didn't tip it or anything you just have to make sure you have a thick grommet to make sure the end doesn't fall out since its heavy.
