gunsboy
Well I think the damage that smoking does to second-hand people is not even noticable compared to the damage Cars and Factorys do to us. I think that they just passed a law that will be effective in January 2007 that you are not allowed to smoke on sidewalks or any public place. They better take care of those drug dealer on street corners before they ban smoking on those same corners. I do not smoke cigarettes but I hate stupid laws. Next thing they tell us that we cannot take deep breaths so we would not finish the oxygen in the air. FIGHT THE POWER MAN!
hookah~rob~
i think we may have hit a valid point here, there are laws on the books that really dont do anything and arnt enforced. i doubt that this one will be. also heads up they are trying to pass a law in pennsylvania to eliminate smoking in all bars, resturants, and public places like shopping malls. zombiedepot
Big brother is looking out for you and me. It's nonsense too. If you can't smoke in public are you supposed to smoke indoors or in a car, where you could have a child? Freedom of choice, you guys remember those days? You won't be able to smoke indoors anymore shortly. However I wonder if the place has an independent HVAC does it really matter? It's only blowing air from that place to that place. Obviously if you have an open system with the rest of your apartment complex/nearby businesses it's not an option, but should you be able to pay to have your own closed system so you can smoke inside? Obviously everyone inside has consented to being in there with the EEEVIL second-hand smoke.

Sonthert
Yeah, here in California, the smoking ban was a joke for the longest time in parts of the county where people wanted to smoke and the Sheriff's Department was jurisdicted in. Now, no more. Enforcement is absolute.
