mushrat
Some of you may have noticed the rapidly shrinking number of official vendor threads. Unlike other hookah forums (and this isn't criticism, merely facts) that accept money or goods in return for allowing advertising by hookah vendors, this forum allows them to do it for free. The only catch is they have to be members of the community, not merely here to sell their products. By a member of the community I mean they have to contribute posts in the various sections to show that, like us, they are hookah smokers with like, dislikes, opinions and questions. That doesn't seem a lot to ask and it shows a commitment to the forum and to the fun that is hookah smoking beyond dropping $100 bucks a month for a banner ad. This may make our membership a little lower and the conversations a little more sedate. But hey, I like to think we're after quality rather than quantity. bigtoepfer
I think I like it this way. There are less commercials and everyone here seems more genuine.
ryno
ONe of my favorite things about this forum. No annoying adds and "contest" for "reviews" for free. Just hookah smokers giving their opinions on the products out there.
Stuie
i can understand both sides, there may not be one person that can do it at these vendors... get paid to post on forums... DREAM JOB! But on the other hand. It's missing a huge oppurtunity to build your customer base and support. A lot of vendors are really missing out on a good thing. delSol_si
Yea, I noticed we are down to 4 but I understand the logic to it.
NitetimeReign
I know for me personally, My last 4 orders have been from vendors we still have on the list. I like the fact you can talk in threads or pm with them and they are real people with real thoughts. I feel more secure placing orders like that. I know business is business but I think it would be fun to get to know your buyers to a degree. Just my thoughts anyway.
