I know there is debate on the effects of hookah vs cigarettes, but we all know straight up smoking can't be good for you. Fortunately:

And if you don't want to die in a car crash just stop driving, and if you don’t want to die of old age just commit suicide.

I'm willing to bet that you guys don't smoke because you want lung cancer. You know the risks, but you decide to enjoy hookah anyway, as do I.

However, if there is a chance to still do what you enjoy and reduce the risk of adverse health effects, why not take advantage of it?

My wife laughs at me all the time for getting diet soda with my giant hamburger and fries, but it’s better than 350 cal. of soda on top of the giant hamburger and fries that I’m going to eat anyway.

Why wear a seatbelt when you drive? Not because it makes driving more fun or feel better, but just in case some asshole on their cell phone plows into your car. You do it to reduce risk.

If some pecan crusted tilapia can reduce my risk of getting lung cancer and slightly offset some of the things I choose to do that increase my risk, why wouldn't I take advantage of it.

I would rather take some risks and enjoy my life than live in a bubble for fear of what might hurt me or make me sick. If I can increase my chances of living longer and being a little healthier while still having fun, I will.

I applaud doctors and scientist that are finding ways to reduce the risk of the dangerous things that I do while still enjoying them.

I'm a smoker, whether it cigarettes, and less occasionally, but much more enjoyably, hookah. I am excited about this find, but who knows. I'm not going to fully believe it until I see it on the cover of Time Magazine, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try it either. Taking some vitamins aren't going to hurt.
