My New Project!

So I'm pretty excited about this, mainly because it's just something to do...

My girlfriend and I went to our local tobacco outlet (which has nothing special...four flavors of AF and a bunch of shitty cigars...) and I saw this hookah for 15 dollars.

Because she has a hookah this size, we went on and bought it so we could use the hose as a second hose for her hookah. (we're both hose hogs...) 15 dollars is the cheapest hose we've found - the hookah was just a bonus. I've decided to use the base from this hookah and upgrade everything else because this is one terrible hookah, and I figured that this was a great starting place as we got it for virtually nothing.

Any recommendations on stems to use? Besides that, I know exactly what I'm going to use. I may not be able to get an amazing hookah out of this, but it's something to do, and it will be interesting.

I know this isn't a big deal to you seasoned guys at all, but it's my first 'customize your own', so I figured I'd share. Once it's done, I'll post the updated pictures and a review of it.

Maybe a small MYA stem, like a QT or bambino. I think those would probably fit.

I don't think the qt stem will fit.
You're probably best off just tossing that hookah and getting another one... I've smoked out of that kind before and no matter what i did, I never got a good smoke... I switched the bases and everything.
Toss it and get a different hookah.

Well as they said before the qt wont fit because you need a male stem. But if you're looking to make your own stem I'd say go for it and check out the how to section. Theres a few threads in there that people made for their home made hookahs. Good luck. It's a nice little base, I'm sure if you're creative you can make it into something sweet.
