Size Of Shisha Bowls

My brother and I bought a hookah together a few years ago in high school. We were both inexperienced with hookahs, but we both really wanted one. Over the course of the first year of owning it, my brother broke the original ceramic shisha bowl it came with. He bought another one, but it was too small and didn't fit properly so the hookah just went unused for the next few years.

I was cleaning out my parents' storage closet and found our long lost hookah. I've started repairing it, but I've noticed that many hookah supply sites don't have a size listed for the shisha bowl, like as if all bowls are one size fits all. Are there different sizes of bowls I can look for, or perhaps we've been using the wrong size of bowl gommet for the replacement one?

Bowls are basically one size fits all. so-called Mod bowls I believe have a bigger opening and require a bigger grommet, otherwise everything should work with everything else.

Most bowls will fit any hookah, every once in a while you'll get one with a small opening or a big one. You need to go to a local shop and check out the grommets they have.

All the bowls I've seen fit pretty much any hookah. Most boil down to the grommet size you need. Plus you could always use the wet strips of paper towels trick if you don't wanna mess with the grommet or until you find the right size. Just take wet paper towel strips and wrap them around the top til the bowl fits snug and air tight. Hope either way you get what you need.
