Refridgerating Shisha?

Hey guys and gals, Got a quick questing. What does refriderating shisha do? Anything at all? I'm just curious so I can tell my friend that it was a stupid idea. I had gone to his house and he told me to pack his bowl he gave me the shisha and it was cold as hell I asked him what the hell he did and he had said he put it in the refriderator and that it was "better" that way. Doesn't not do jack shit? Obviously it's cold when you pack it but as soon as you put those coals on it, it's warm so is it pointless? Thanks, Brandon`

I know people who do it as well. You don't need to do it to preserve it as the glycerin is a natural preservative. I can see no real reason why you would want or need to.

Like most thing you put in the freezer, it preserves it... for about 72 hours. After that the cold breaks down everything.

The juices and natural oils in the tobacco separate from the tobacco, and results in bad stuff.... It will taste like 2 year old Epic in a matter of days.

You ever see Cigar smokers keeping their stash in the fridge? .... ^^^^That's Why!

Alright well I don't think it will ruin the shisha that quickly but it will not taste as good. My mom used to store her tobacco in the fridge and recently she stopped that and there is a def. difference. Especially since she smokes Nakhla and the last time I smoked her stuff that wasn't in the fridge I almost passed out lol.

I have never put my shisha in the fridge and i don't see the purpose. Shisha lasts 2 years without being in a fridge and i definitely don't take 2 years to smoke all my shisha haha

I've heard of people doing it, but as others have pointed out, there's no need to as far as preserving it. Seems like putting hot coals on a cold bowl of shisha would be weird, too..

Definately lasts longer than two years btw I've smoked some old ass AF and it tasted just like some of the freshly made batches

i smoked some super old AF vanilla that smelled like gin, but tasted like it was completely fresh. I've never refridgerated shisha, but one of my friends did, i advised her not to because it doesn't help with anything
