Lake Water In My Hookah?

Is it okay if I fill my vase up by dipping it into Lake Michigan (Grand Traverse Bay)? Should I be worried about ingesting duck poop and/or random people's pee?

Haha I am the same way I would be way to worried about germs to smoke with lake water, but it could be fine I just wouldn't. When I go camping and there is no clean running water ill just use bottled water.

Traverse Bay if I remember is almost crystal clear until the dropoffs. It wouldn't hurt to use it I don't think, I've used creek water before and it was fine.

Honestly, I wouldn't use the water, even out of desperation because of all the various toxins. You have chemicals from gasoline from boats in there, which you do not want in your system at all obviously.
