Sapphire
So, I was told there is a Heart Worm epidemic getting worse here in Florida and Texas, so I figure I better put my pups on Heart worm meds. I tried to go to the store but can not find it anywhere. Is this something you need a perscription for? Anyone know anything about this stuff? Tyler
Go to the jacksonville animal shelter, you can get a month's or year's supply at a time for rather cheap -- my mom used to get our dog's heartworm meds in the yearly dose which was a once a month bone-style-treat thing he actually liked taking, not expensive or hard to get...I'd imagine you could get some at the PetSmart down on beach ave
NitetimeReign
I know back in the day when our Doberman had them the pills came from the vet.
Stuie
Yeah it's prescription meds. I use Revolution on our dog year round. One drop a month. Protects against Fleas, Heartworms and other parasites. In the summers if the mosquitoes get too bad I switch her over to K9 Advantix and a standard heartworm pill.
