rahl071
So guys, I've worked up enough points to get a free Mya Bambino. This is my plan: Redeem points, acquire free Bambino. Replace the bowl, as the stock one is a bit tiny replace base with QT base-avoid tipping Now it gets interesting. The Petite "stem", if you can call it that, fits the bambino base, the petite base, the razo, etc.-I plan on getting the bambino and carrying a petite stem with normal sized hose adapters. So, single hose, then swap the stem for a two-hose if someone cares to join. Total cost will be 11 bucks for the new base, as a better bowl is already in my possession. What do you guys think? I'm not getting a QT, as I would much rather have the hard case and the anonymity with a Bambino as opposed to the roll cage from the QT. I don't necessarily WANT everyone to know I'm carrying a pipe. Oh, forgot to mention: It's for smoking in designated areas on campus.

rahl071
Exactly like that, but I have a spare stem that accepts a second hose in the event it's needed. It fits. I've tested it. can you drop me a pic of the inside of that case Joytron?
king_lunchb0x
well sounds like a good plan, the hard shell case makes it inconspicuous to the outside world. Plus the bambino stem looks and smokes awesome

antouwan
sounds like a good plan. just make sure that the bambino case is compatible with the qt base - but it sounds like you're already on top of that.
kyleSD
i got my ex a bambino and never had trouble with it tipping, my sister has it as well. Unless youre replacing the vase for aesthetic purposes i think the bambino is great just stock, with a better bowl and hose of course.
ukhookah
I've got both a bambbino and qt. The bambino base was fragile and has broke! Lol. I've got a qt now for the sole purpose that I can interchange the base between both. I have to say I much prefer my qt ovee the bino simply cos I think it functions well. I found my bambino gets hot quicker

[/quote] +1 I love mine, have had no tipping problems with the base. Smokes great. I agree that the stock bowl is a little small, but since I usually smoke my Bambino alone, it's fine for me. Giant Ninja Robot
Great plan, best of all worlds, you've done your research. Bambino WILL tip if you use a heavier or slightly inflexible homemade hose so the QT base will be great, and as I'm sure you know the Bambino wont accept a second hose adapter properly because of the severe angle of the purge valve hole. If anonymity is a concern you can buy a chunk of foam from HD to fit a hard old fashioned suitcase and make cutouts in the foam to fit your pipe and accessories. There's a how to somewhere in the how-to section.
