Ive read this article or one like it last week ,And as a PC gamer yeah mouse keyboard >controller

i actually thought this was common knowledge....but, let's try to have a decent discussion about this...

for ANY game aside from your hack n slash games, i think a computer's mouse + keyboard combo are just plain better....i'm sure the article has it's biases but, the scenarios seem to be true to life...

in an FPS, i believe it's just fact, a half-assed pc gamer can facestomp a seasoned console gamer....reaction time and accuracy all favor the pc gamer....in FPS games, that's the biggest difference between console players and PC gamers. why do you think a console games hitbox are excessively large? because you have to compensate for the inaccuracy and the sluggish-ness of the controller....an FPS hitbox, nearly exact for the character model....

it was a good and entertaining read though....makes me feel good about never falling toward crappy console shooters....

i would have to agree with the pc gamers being able to crush 360... but i wonder ps3 vs. 360? who would win?

I don't know.
To me both use controllers that just don't deliver.

Also I notice that I can play COD MF2 on my computer amazingly. And then when I switch to a console - I pretty much completely suck balls.
That being said, I have been debating my console loving friends throughout high-school and a bunch of them now in college and they refuse to admit the mouse is just a much superior pointing device.
On top of that - none of them will admit their hit boxes are bigger and that the wireless has some crazy lag.


Now if I could just convince my brother having a higher mouse DPI doesn't mean the mouse is any better and you are any better.... it just detects more pixels per inch.

The mouse is much better than controllers if you can snap headshots with a sniper/assault rifle, but the fact is that most players don't have the skill to consistently pull them off.

with a mouse sniping takes skill,(for most games at least). console sniping can be hard. But i would have to say some head shots i get on CODMW2 on 360 wouldn't be head shots on pc. But i like console more for fps shooters becuase:
1. less hacking compared to the fps shoooters on Pc
2.most people are on the same skill level, unlike PC 2 out of 3 games i get destroyed
3. button layout is simple, some PC games just take the controls to far

and #3 just plain sucks....i don't want to be trapped in a box.....imagine someone gave you a mouse with only one button and a computer where you could hardly do crap? how good could that be? oh wait....that's a mac....nuff said...

I kind of believe the article. I dont play my xbox 360 or any games on console or pc that much as I use to. One night I put in COD 4 in my xbox and asked my brother (a hardcore PC gamer) to play against me. Mind you this is his first time playing COD4 on xbox. I beat COD 4 within 4 days and thought I was pretty damn good...until my brother joined. Lets just say he whooped my ass, then i whooped his ass in real life for beating me. haha jk I only punched in the arm.

And yeah ive transitioned from console to hardcore pc in the past couple of years, i have to say when i first went on codmw2 on my rig i was missing headshots (or even body shots for that matter) left and right, it took a long time to get use to and i still haven't perfected it. This being my own personal experience, pc games tend to take alot more skill and hand eye coordination (as a matter of speaking) then console games and i do agree w. the article.

Plus who doesn't like the infinite amount of mods that come out for pc games... lamesauce consoles, just plain lame

I can aim just as fast with my look speed on 10 (mw2) as I can with a mouse. But PS3 has the advantage of not having ANY hackers where as PC and the 360 have hackers galore.

that may be true....but, i doubt you could aim as fast with your controller as "I" can with my mouse....ha!
