mean headache

Recommended Posts

okie guys i just got a new hookah, its a medium egyptian. i have a couple of problems with it.
1. i can't get a good smoke out of my new mod bowl. i use a large needle and poke quite afew small holes. if i put more coals, when i inhale alittle it gets to harsh. i pack the bowl almost to the top, without it touching the foil. i loosen the tobacc out. i dunno if mod bowls are to be packed diff. should i use biger holes in my foil?
2.i'm smoking Al fakher and it seems i get such a mean headache after each session. i never got this with my old hookah. the humidity lvls are much higher here in singapore than in australia where i've done most of my smoking. is this a factor? i have super glue holding the base of my hookah together, i'm wonering if this is a factor? the glue seems to be holding fine under the heat. the buzz is just not friendly on this hooakh for some reason. i've gotten a really bad buzz before i glued it as well, but i was drinking wine so i've really got no gauge if its the glue or not. or is it the tobacco? Al fakher on my old hookah use to give me a very mellow high.
3.the water level, i understand its an inch above the tip but the egyptian tip goes pretty far down, do i follow the same principle?

I'm not sure about this, but it seems that when trying to smoke tobacco that is in humidity shock you can sometimes get nothing but nicotine vaporizing. When I got my first shipment of Tangiers I would start off using a little bit of coal -- minimally harsh, very thin smoke. Add a little more coal -- more harsh, still very thin smoke. More coal -- more harshness, not much more smoke. And by the end of the process you've got a scratchy throat, quite a buzz and a nice headache to go along with it. Although there isn't much visible smoke, I think tons of nicotine is still vaporizing out of the tobacco. Because it's invisible, you're fooled into thinking that nothing is happening yet, so you keep puffing away and kill yourself trying to get the stuff going. I'd say let it air out for a nice long while and stir it up well every so often.

It sounds like a problem with the new pipe. Without a head on either pipe and no water in the jar and no hose plugged in (if one or both are multi-hose models, plug the extra hose ports) draw air through the hose port by wrapping your lips around it and sucking. I would guess airflow through your old hookah is easier than your new hookah. It may be the hose, too. suck through each hose and see if they are working OK. Suck with the other end open and then with your finger over the other end. Open it should draw easily, with your finger over the end, the hose should be tight and not "leak".

okie wil let the tobacco air out for awhile. does al fakher need airing?
the pipe is a single hose. how much water should i put into it? its a standard egytian base
i'm just having problems with the mod bowl, the foil doesn't seem to mold to the bowl very well and i'm wondering how u guys go about it.
how would i order some tangiers? do u ship to australia?

I would..remember, the water isnt really doing that much and its making the draw harder. Let the smoke expand into the rest of the vase. *that* will cool it down more than anything.
I use an inch to and inch and a half..on one hookah that leaves very little space, the other a while lot. try it and see.

Add water so that it covers the bottom of the shank...suck through the hose port without a hose...if you get water in your mouth, you have too much in there...pour some out. All tobacco works better if aired out...some its far more necessary for. Al Fahker is fairly simple and can smoke adequately almost all the time.Use household foil...make bigger pieces...foil sticks better to itself.I am at hookahcompany right now and they do ship to Australia.
