Okay, so love him or hate him, here's an opportunity to add your name and any personal comments you'd like to send him as part of a national birthday message organized by the First Lady. Since he actually reads emails, etc., that he gets, I'm thinking it's a useful way to make respectful comment that he will read. Sooooo............ Here's the link.

As usual with any RNC or DNC link after you hit send it offers you the opportunity to make a donation, but hey, that's per all government officials websites and I'm only mentioning it here, because I just don't want to hear back that it was some kind of scam just to get you to send money. Yes, yes, yes, both sides always want money, so what?

I think Del is upset because Obama has actually done some good for the country, he's not completely insane, and he calls conservatives on their BS.

Conservatives can't stand that.

We could always elect some conservatives to put their economic policies back into place. You know - the ones that screwed the economy in the first place. They could spend like drunken sailors again, double our debt again, get us into some more wars, and lead us right into bankruptcy. Why that would make you happy I'm not sure, but to each their own. 1. They are all idiots.
2. The economy is always fucked up & even though who claim to "understand" it, really have no fucking clue what is happening - I have tried to understand it..and it's bullshit.
3. We are always at war. Half of the time it's against our own citizenry. "War on Drugs" "War on Weapon". Bullshit. STOP WASTING MONEY. Stop interfering with the people of the world's lives. It's all fucking reagan. That moron was the president who reversed the surplus trend this country had seen since the times of the great depression.
4. Look at the trends in history. They tell the real story. Look at the last depression. Same thing happened. People lived beyond their means. Defaults happened. The government had to spend a ridiculous amount of money to pull us out. The only way this is going to happen is for people to get money from the government (tax breaks, unemployment insurance, ect), those people start buying, and the companies will have to hire again. This will throw our economy into overdrive and then we will see the national debt plummet.
We are still heading into the worst recession since the 1930's. You better hope your ass the president gives middle class america (the spenders) enough money to push this economy into drive rather than reverse..otherwise this is going to take another 10 years to reverse.

When he stepped into office, the economy was actually worse than it is now, the job market is showing some signs that even construction is about to turn around as projects are showing up on design tables in California. Houses are beginning to sell in weeks, not months, again. I'm not remotely giving him credit - I think it's more just the cycle of thing going from down to eventually back up again. But to blame a President who is probably the most powerless person in our government, for a situation in existence before he even sat down at the desk, isn't really very logical.
