Tyler
I stand by my AF Large solid as the best smoke I've ever had (and prettiest!)
Skoozle
I bought and smoked a KM for the sole reason of seeing how my no name egyptian stacked up aginst it. I smoked it once and sold it. I'm sure you all know there are so many things that effect flow other than the pipe. (packing, hose, holes in the foil) There was not enough of a difference in the KM to make me want to keep it. To be honest, I didn't notice any difference at all. If I set up both hookahs and switched the bowl and hose back and forth I'm sure I would have noticed a difference. If I smoked every day like some of you guys (J) I'm sure I would notice a difference, but for my use the KM is not worth keeping while I have another hookah that works just as good (plus or minus 1%). I have a smaller egyptian that also workes as well as the bigger hookahs. I have a small (13") Fotata that is noticably more restricted than the full size hookahs, but in some situations, the ease of setup out weighs the restriction. I also have a very small (~10") mini hookah (you've seen these on ebay) that is even more restrictive but still good for sampeling flavors, or a 30 min smoke. I like to use this when I am working on my car. At the end of the day, if you are smoking out of a quality full size hookah, you can have a great session, but more importantely, if you smoke out of the same setup all the time that is where you will get your best smoke because you will know exactly how to set it up. mushrat
I have to agree with with you Mush. After getting a couple mz's, a couple km's, and several others, the difference in smoke quality is negligible with the same bowl prep. from my experience its all about the down-stem diameter and the opening to the hose port. maybe I'm crazy though...
Thats about what it comes down to.
redjako
My easy go-to is a QT. but proper packing and session management results in the most monster clouds and flavor via the KM I have. Its the wider down stem and the ability to pull a ton of smoke. However, I do think the margin of error is higher for a larger hookah...working theory, any thoughts? spectrum055
True I agree KM is probably a popular because as I had heard I don't remember where but that there are a lot of KM's in the state... and cheap Chinese hookahs. But my MZ smokes like my KM...and I've gotten KM quality smoking out of my Mya Petite... Granted a bit hotter but a hookah all in all serves the same purpose just with different qualities of metal and looks. But with the quality of metals and workman ship I guess with the name your also buying a reassurance of quality?
