Need Some Help With A Burn Mark

Recommended Posts

not sure if any one can help me with this but any advice is greatly appreciated. I have a (plastic tile?) kitchen floor, it's kind-of that fakeish tile. I was carelessly getting ready to clean my hookah, and when I lifted the tray one of the little coals fell from it shatterd and made some burn marks in the plastic or whatever material it may be. I tryed scrubbing it out, and scraping it out no dice :/ It dosen't seem too deep, was hoping if any one else had a nice fix for this. thanks : )

Genuinely not trying to be a smart ass, but you burn through some linoleum floor and its there for good. Theres no scrubbing that shit out.

You could try finding caulk that is close to the color of your floor and fill it in evenly to not draw so much attention to it, but no matter what its going to be there.
Throw a rug on that bitch and forget about it.

This is the burn mark ( the deepest one) one person told me to take a razer blade, scrape it out and get a nailpolish of that color and fill it in. Wa shoping for a quick fix but it seems you're right :/

could be worse. I once burnt a hole in my pants because someone knocked the hookah a bit while i was holding it. it got awfully close to getting real hot in an area I would not appreciate.

I had a situation like this at the last place I lived. I used a dremel to grind down the burn spot to get rid of the discoloration, then I filled it in with clear silicone. I imagine clear nail polish would work better, though.

ya i burnt a hole in my carpet and i just got a small piece from the closet corner and glued it on the burn mark. Maybe get a similar color paint and some spray on texture and see how it looks.

gonna have to try this : ) it would be easier to leave it, but my security depost of 1,050$ isn't worth a burn mark :P thank you all for putting your input, and ya carpet is so much easier to repair :(

Kind of looks like it belongs there, honestly. Like, mock stone or something. At least you didn't burn your shampagne colored carpet :/

well if it's like the individual tiles maybe you can buy a package and remove the burned ones and replace them. if the whole floor is one piece then i guess you're going to have to go with the dremel idea. good luck.
