One of my favorite bands. They have a live version of High Tide on YouTube and it might be my favorite song ever.

Ratatat (electronic rock) is one of my all-time faves. They just came out with a new album too. :)
http://www.myspace.com/ratatatmusic
^^^ Listen to Falcon Jab, Party with Children, and Wildcat and you'll have a good idea of what their general sound is - it's shifted from more hip-hop/rap influence (they did a whole album of remixed hip-hop/rap songs) to kind of a world beats influenced thing.

Crystal Castles is a great electronic group who also came out with a new album recently.

Andrew Bird is also amazing - very talented dude. He plays guitar, violin, xylophone, whistles, and sings. Good music for just chillin' out, but is still upbeat for the most part.

BEARBOT is a (female!) DJ I really enjoy, and best of all, ALL of her music is free! A lot of her songs have (aforementioned) Ratatat and Crystal Castles in them, as well as Daft Punk, Lil Wayne, indie rock, oldies, etc... a little bit of everything.
Check out "mixtape" - it's 15 minutes long but is a great mix.

ok here is an album to find

A masterpiece Collection (it is basically a collection of classical)

Send me a PM with your address and I'll send you a cd with the Band Rubber Chicken Lollipop ... The best way to describe this band is basically accordion beer fest type band.

Another would be Frank Zappa

that's what I'm giving for the strange, for the un-strange

Skinnypuppy

Moshpit

Angerfist

Wendy Carlos (Did the music for a Clockwork Orange)

Harry Potter Audiobooks 1-7
I completely agree with this and I've got this file on my comp and one of my iPods. It's great but does take up a bit of space, I believe the entire collection is around 7gb. Book 4-7 are all in excess of 20hrs, but make for great listening on road trips, etc. The 4th book took me from Flagstaff to Portland last summer, 5th book through 2 weeks of backroom stock work (best work weeks ever, btw)
