so i ordered a mya petite along with a couple of accessories last week.. cant wait to get it!

got a question for u guys: is it ok to keep the 250g nakhla molasses in the box or should i get an airtight container for it?? also, what goes well with af jasmine? what u guys think of ice+water+lemon juice+baking soda in the base?

Welcome! Great choice in the MYA petite. It will be a fun little starter hookah.

The Nakhla 250gs that come in a box will just be a brick of tobacco double wrapped, but with no way to reseal. Just dumb the brick into a ziplock bag and seal. Double bag it if you feel like it is too wet and will leak. Or you can invest in plastic tupperware that will fit spaciously (so you can still mix it) 250gs of tobacco. Look for the plastic tupperwear with the number 5 in the recycle sign, I believe.

Don't over think the base water. Cold from the tap is good. Ice robs you of flavor. As far as lemon juice or baking soda it depends on what you want it to taste like.

Nice choice on the Mya. My first was a little Mya and I still use it when I don't wanna clean my Km. It smokes very well. As far as storing goes, I use gladware stackable plastic tubs that have screw on lids. They stack nicely when full, are airtight, unbreakable, and relatively cheap. You can get a 3 pack for around $3 at walmart. They rock and come in several sizes.

ok i just had first session with the mya petite: wow this is an amazing tiny shisha pipe... smokes as well as the ones ive had at arab hookah lounges.. good smoke and very easy pull with heba..

glass of base is not very consistent though has impurities and a slight slant in the level at the bottom.. might have to look into a replacement soon. altho the pipe is short, the water stays cold with ice which is a plus.. only complaint i have is that the grommets stick to the hose bowl and pipe when u dismantle so its pretty annoying.. otherwise 10/10 [img]http://www.hookahforum.com/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif[/img]

My mya had an uneven base also. It rocked back and forth and annoyed the heck outta me until I took some #400 grit wet sandpaper and stuck that down flat to a board and then wet sanded the base level by rubbing it on the paper that was stationary on a table. I then moved on to #1000 grit to polish, and it looks great, and most importantly, its flat now!

For the Nak, get a shallow rectangular container. Get a few while you're at it- you'll be getting more sheesh. I like the red Rubbermaid Take-A-Long's, I believe they're called.

For the vase, just use cold water from the tap like Ray said.

lol im not ballsy enough to sand thru the glass... dont wanna end up breaking it.. the thinnest part of the base seems quite thin... prob just put a fluffy towel under it when i smoke

yea it does smoke really well.. if it were a blind test i wouldnt think it was from such a small hookah... im using soup containers from chinese takeout now [img]http://www.hookahforum.com/public/style_emoticons/default/lol.gif[/img]

I think you might have to get the regular Mya hose adapter. I believe the Petite ones are a touch smaller than the normal Mya ones.

Yes like Ryan said the Petite has a smaller hose port, but you can buy a regular bigger one and it'll fit just fine. Get one if you're going to be using any other hose than the one that came with it.
