I'm not sure about the health risks with these flavorings, but any flavor with sugar isn't going to be good because it will burn and taste like ass. the sugar would be useless anyway. You're not going to eat it you're smoking it.

It didn't taste like @$$. It didn't taste like anything except 'sweet' (from the added honey/molasses, I'd guess) and the mild vanilla from the Nakhla 'base' shisha. Really would like to find out more about the banana flavoring with glycol as the first ingredient. The flavor, while 'artificial' candy-like banana, is excellent and much stronger than the Hypnosis and Layalina banana flavors I've tried. Not worth dying for, but really, really good.
