Hey guys,
Been lurking for a few weeks and finally registered. Today i just bought a new hookah, its basically the mya QT but with a cooler looking base. I also had a 26 inch one but i decided to downgrade to a smaller one. The mya hits just as good as the big one. My question is: Ive never used anything besides water and ice in the base. What do you guys recommend, ive got tangerine dream, code 69, and pirates cave by starbuzz and mobster by social smoke.

I would check out the reviews section for some recommendation.... Tangiers is always a winner, as is Nak.... their Mizo line is great IMO

I personally really like Mobster by SS.

As for what I'd recommend, I like Nak's Mizo line and Tangiers's Lucid line. Only stuff I buy nowadays.

what exactly are you asking for? flavor recommendations or stuff to put in the vase?

for vase, stick with water...ice if you're bored.

for flavors, try the Nakhla Mizo line if you want a bigger buzz than SB....if you like SB and that chemically tinge it has to it, Social Smoke is another similar brand with some nice flavors...the Dulce and Chai are nice...and the Cinnamint is a better take on a common mix...

I was mainly asking for recommendations on what to put in the base instead of ice water. But im also curious on what other brands outside of SS and SB i should try for tobacco.

Starbuzz all the way. Here are the flavors you need to try: Blue Mist, Citrus Mist, and Safari Melon Dew. If I'm not mistaken, those three have gotten the best reviews on this forum out of the Starbuzz flavors.

Sorry for the double post, just saw the last reply... but try kool-aid in the base for added flavor. As for other brands, I would recommend Tangiers if you're feeling brave. Maybe start with Tangiers' "Lucid" line to ease your way into the brand.

I'd echo the above recommendations: nakhla, particularly Mizo guava, watermelon, lemon, and peach, the regular double apple, sweet melon and cola, and most any flavor from tangiers. They are amazing and they smoke like crazy are are less prone to overheating. Mix the guava and watermelon. Its amazing.
