It Appears Some Folks Don'T Like Us Much.

Scoop, a former member here, along with a few others who have moved on decided to have a pitty party for Del over on this site and bash the rest of us while they are at it.

The owner of THAT site is kinda busy right now, but he is NOT going to be pleased when he gets back that his forum is being used for such activity, as thats the kind of thing that creates hard feelings like those we have with some of the other past and present forums. And we really LIKE the guy who owns this other forum so hopefully a few heads will roll over there, we are free of a few more malcontents over here, and it should be business as usual.

yes, it is going to cause some problems between the forums. His moderators should have nipped this in the bud but didn't. Thats going to be a problem but I'll call Eric and work it out with him.

Well, that's kind of on each of us. Hard to argue with someone if they don't respond and encourage the escalation. Took me a long time to finally realize that just because someone says something, it doesn't necessarily have an substance in my reality. So why get all up in arms about any of it?

I'm becoming reasonably active on the other forum. I doubt I'll get approached considering my outspoken attitude about drama, but if I do, my response will be "Sorry you feel that way. What'cha smokin' tonight?" If we don't respond to it, it can't go anywhere.

it's legit....

but, mush...i think the mods didn't act because there's technically no "forum rules"...or at least, none posted...everyone kind of moderates themselves and i think the "mod" position is there mostly to clean up mistakes, like double posts or spelling errors. but, not really sure. some people have stated, they like the relatively liberal "freedom of speech"...

but, i like this thread now....Adam replied and so did Canon! welcome back guys!

It is a slightly different kind of forum in that it's coming from the manufacturer end of things. The rules are definitely more relaxed there including certain references in chat, etc., but I'm not saying that's either bad or good. I think it's called taking adult responsibility for your own actions. Yelling m*therf*cker in church is a no-no. In a Navy bar, not so much. No reason as an adult we can't modify our behavior based on where we are. Unless anyone is thinking they're too stupid to monitor themselves????? (Didn't think so.)

Certain rules are in place here for a reason. That forum, being more manufacturing based isn't quite as likely to pick up trolls and bots looking for specific trigger words. But legitimate? Yeah, it is.
